Dance is something I wish I started early. I had ~2 years of international standard + Latin training before specializing in international Latin since 2016. Although dancing will never be my profession, I would like to think I take it seriously. Throughout these years, I had never missed a single weekly lesson. I practice everyday, and I founded the first Ballroom Latin dance club at my alma mater, the University of Toronto, Canada.

I moved to Durham to start my new career in biotech in 2020, and I have been itching to get back to dancing now that the pandemic restrictions are lifting.

Have been taking lessons & going out to salsa clubs on a regular basis for a little over a year with my boyfriend & we are no longer together... I am ok without him but I really miss salsa dancing lol

I began dancing in group classes at age 15 and took private lessons at age 16. I performed as a student. At age 20, I began teaching American Smooth and American Rhythm at Fred Astaire Dance Studio. I also completed twice within Fred Astaire. At age 22 I stepped back from the dance world to become a mother. At age 24 I got back into dancing and began private lessons once again. For the past year I have been training heavily in International Latin. I wish to perform on a competitive level in International Latin, but I would be open to training in American Rhythm in addition.

I currently dance pro/am, however I feel that finding a partner (another student) to dance with would be more challenging and would give me more of a push to set concrete goals.

I have taken bronze, silver, gold, goldstar, and technique group lessons, and competed at the bronze, silver, and advanced levels. I have won fifteen competition trophies, plus three championship perpertual trophies, all but three of competition trophies from UBC Gala Ball club closed competitions.

I have taken very few private lessons, but would not be averse to taking some should I find a partner interested in doing so.

I recently moved up to prechamp in standard and have placed well in the last 2 comps.

I have been dancing since my Dad taught me to cha-cha at the age of 8. I am an extremely good "follower", and most recently this has been handy with learning and practicing my new passion of Argentine Tango. My all time favorite partner dance is Waltz of all kinds (ballroom, country western, etc.) -- I really "feel" the 3/4 timing and love the music. I also love salsa dancing, meregue, samba, cha-cha, bachata.

I dance competitively Open level International Standard and Latin. Socially I dance all dances and all levels primarily in Somerset, Bergen, Mercer and Morris Counties.

Several years of weekly private and group lessons in ballroom and Latin which included foxtrot, waltz, east coast swing, west coast swing, rhumba, cha-cha, Argentine tango. It’s been.. maybe 10 years since I’ve been dancing on a regular basis. I’ve never done the competitions but I am a very good dancer.. intermediate level I think. (If you can lead me in a waltz, rhumba or east coast swing I CAN follow and will love it!) I’d like to start dancing again on a regular basis. I’m interested in taking some West Coast swing lessons but would be available to partner with someone interested in other styles as well. I’m single, but didn’t come to this site with the goal of finding a romantic partner so I left that question blank. I want to get out and start dancing again. Dancing is joy... dancing keeps you young... dancing is freakin GREAT for the body and soul...

Social Dancer - Ballroom and Latin.

Dancing since the 80's but with a big gap between then and now to raise the kid and other such demands. Back to dance for more than 4 years. I take 5-10 hours of instruction per week. Most of that being Group, but at least one private a week.

Looking for a consistent partner to improve my dancing. Focusing on building connection and skill growth.

I have danced all my life. In HS I was always picked for the dance part of the school play. I started C&W 2 Step in HS and learned much more from there. My favorite dance now is West Coast Swing.

Today, I am ready to continue the tradition of learning and enjoying the joys of salsa / bachata dancing and possibly with a new partner or in a form of a co-operative group.

A few years back, when I was married (I'm now divorced), I learnt various dances, e.g., chacha, tango, hustle etc., and I need to relearn those steps and acquire new skills. I don't like to brag; but it won't hurt you to try me as a dance partner. That's all!
