i was born to dance...have the agility and limberness and musicality...the music dictates the movement for me..don't super impose steps over the music..love the relationship between the dancer and the music..love that moment when a piece of music will make you do a move you never have before..that is a trill..i dance with abandon but strive to be smooth..need a versatile partner with a strong lead as i've done a lot of free style dancing...and really can let go and get creative dancing to live music on my own...have studyied jazz and lived in manhatten and into jazz...if i found a partner with chemistry that would be wonderful...like zorba i don't just dance when happy...i'm also a very visual person and have style and accent the dance with the line of what i wear...looking to forward to making the "dance" connection

Hi, I'm 59 years old, approximately 5 ft 3. I like to keep fit, love Yoga and dancing. I would like to meet a male dancer for mainly Ballroom and Latin social dancing and lessons. I've been dancing for approximately 6 years. I love Ballroom and Latin but I also go to Ceroc and modern jive events for a workout ??. I enjoy learning new steps and always like to be the best that I can, but ultimately dancing must be fun. I live not far from Cambridge and Bury st Edmunds. Back in 1999, I started taking ballroom dancing lessons, for about 6 years. Unfortunately, I had some rough years in my life and I couldn't continue, at least with private lessons (I continued to attend parties and group classes occasionally. However, I started taking lessons again about a year ago and have been since. My favorite dances are east coast swing, lindy hop, hustle, as well as others like the salsa, mambo, merengue, cha-cha, waltz, tango. Lately, I'm learning more about the west coast swing, and have found a secondary dance teacher for the Lindy Hop where I take private lessons from her.

I am just about to take Argentine dance lessons (January 2026). I hope to be able to have the opportunity to dance outside of classes.

I took both some basic salsa and West Coast swing dance lessons around 2010. Do not remember much from them but am willing to practice with someone who wants to have fun dancing but has patience. I am hoping to take again lessons in at least one of these styles sometime this year (2026).

If I am able to find a good dance connection, I am no open you other styles as well.

As I like and learn a style, I am willing to spend more time practicing.

I am open to establishing a connection even if circumstances mean we might not dance together for a while.

I have always wanted to learn several different types of dancing. My partners have never been interesred. If you would like to learn with me and we could be amateur partners together, great! I like to travel (I am in Palm Beach right now) and have been to Asia and Europe several times.

I enjoy swimming and boating, art galleries and watching football games.

I also enjoy reading about a wide variety of subjects including health and medicine), and am curious about a lot of things.

Through some difficult and painful life lessons I am preparing to be better at life as a whole and I feel like a champion when I practice dancing(even though I haven't arrived at any medals, etc. yet). My desires are to learn to love all people, to get up after falling and hopefully learn from those experience(s) and finally to improve on the best I can be, while hopefully learning to listen to the genuine wisdom of others to blend with my own to build a better life.

To keep it short I have many interests and yes, I am willing to adapt to new ones within reason....except hard rock and heavy rap music. I am generally a quiet guy but in the right atmosphere can be quite lively and entertaining.

Another thing that I forgot to mention is that I am learning not just to enjoy events, outings, just being quiet, fun times, etc..........but, the most important point is that I am learning to treasure each moment that I am with that special someone and not take time and life and her for granted. ...... .... There is a saying that I learned sometime ago: "The only moment that we have is the moment that we are in" so, "What existed a moment ago has gone" and "will we be here in a moment from now?" Have you ever heard of the song "Love is a wonderful thing" an upbeat song sung by Michael Bolton? Love can be a super wonderful thing!...unless things get messed up then, it's very painful until healing takes place and all is sorted out.....Just some deep thoughts I wanted to share and hopefully help you out. My profile states 3 years experience. THAT experience is continuous. I have been dancing off and on since the Saturday Night Fever days including a period of continuous dancing between the mid 80s and the mid 90s.

It took me a while to discover the greet function. Now that I know about greets, I've sent several greets to women who appear to be 'close enough' to events I can attend. I've used greets to avoid using tokens. Ladies, if you respond with some kind of greet that indicates possible interest, I'll happily use tokens to send you an email.

I'm searching for women who might be able to dance in Kingston or Pine Bush in Ulster county, at a number of places in Dutchess, Putnam, or northern Westchester e. g. Mount Kisco, or in Danbury. I picked those locations because I know of monthly mixed ballroom events there.
