I’m just an amateur looking to join a ballroom dancing class

I am currently taking group salsa and bachata lessons. I have had about three months of training. I have also danced rueda and will start lessons in that too. I am also interested in learning and practicing swing and hustle. I have previously had Bronze level courses in waltz, tango, and rumba.

I have been taking dance lessons for 3 years now. I love the social aspect and challenge of the sport. I am open to learning all styles of dance. My favorite so far are salsa, east coast, west coast, and nightclub two step. My goals in dance are to become an overall better dancer and more confident. I work hard and always try my best to put into practice what I learn. Most of all I aim to have fun.

Learned to salsa when I was 36.

Did salsa rueda.

Learned to swing dance when I was 39.

New to dancing scene. Know a couple of country line dance combos, some basic salsa, bachata and tango. Open to learning swing and other dance styles as well.

My profile states 3 years experience. THAT experience is continuous. I have been dancing off and on since the Saturday Night Fever days including a period of continuous dancing between the mid 80s and the mid 90s.

It took me a while to discover the greet function. Now that I know about greets, I've sent several greets to women who appear to be 'close enough' to events I can attend. I've used greets to avoid using tokens. Ladies, if you respond with some kind of greet that indicates possible interest, I'll happily use tokens to send you an email.

I'm searching for women who might be able to dance in Kingston or Pine Bush in Ulster county, at a number of places in Dutchess, Putnam, or northern Westchester e. g. Mount Kisco, or in Danbury. I picked those locations because I know of monthly mixed ballroom events there.

I am a social dancer trying to improve.

I'm VERY confident leading rumba, east coast swing, hustle, and American tango.

I probably don't bore my followers dancing American waltz, fox trot, west coast swing, and cha-cha.

I'm 'working on' samba, salsa, merengue, and bachata.

I would like to learn Viennese waltz.

I admire people who dance Argentine tango and Paso Doble.

I've been competing for 8 years in the open circuit making finals of most of the prechamp latin competitions.

I also dance ballroom but am happy to specialise in either both or one style.

Hello! I grew up training mainly in ballet, contemporary, lyrical/modern, and several folk dances. I started ballroom training about 3 years ago, but progressed quickly as I've made my way through BYU's intensive ballroom program. I've competed novice, pre-champ, and amateur international latin/ballroom, american rhythm, and american smooth. I also have some cabaret experience, and completed through gold bar medals exams with high gold. I can teach social dance as well. I absolutely LOVE everything about dancing, and it has been a huge form of healing in my life. Though I love all styles and am open to competing all of them, my favorite is definitely american smooth. I plan to compete professionally, and am looking for a partner to pursue that with. I incorporate a lot of biomechanics, strength/weight training, cardio, boxing, and a variety of other movement into my training as a whole. I am very interested in dance and movement therapy, and plan to open my own studio someday that teaches dance in a healthy, supportive, encouraging, and healing way.

I used to dance frequently but my dancing has lapsed a little since my wife / partner died a few years ago.

Have danced a fair amount recently but looking for a regular dance partner to connect with and to be able to enjoy the dancing fully and to in its entirety.

I LOVE to dance! Started way back when I caught Disco fever and have never stopped. I've danced most styles (especially love old style Latin music). Over the years, I've evolved into more of a "feel" type dancer, meaning I dance from my gut and my heart, let the music get inside and then ooze out of me as it inspires my body movement.

I like cha cha, swing, foxtrot, night club 2 step, west coast, samba. Most kinds of dance music.

High level in hustle and other night club dances. Frequent competitor both in Los Angeles and elsewhere. Also showcases. Have brought my American rhythm and smooth back up to silver or gold level in order to compete in 9 dance. Currently taking about 6 hours of privates a week and practicing a similar amount. I'm serious. Life doesn't last forever, I started out in this way to late and am doing everything I can to catch up. My wife has no interest in dancing but fully supports my dance activities. Prior to covid I attended Toronto Salsa/Bachata Congress, Las Vegas Open, and numerous local events such as Emerald Ball but now lessons, practice, and tea dances.

Proficiency level of my dance partner doesn't matter, beginners are welcome. I tried changing the selection to "I don't care" but can't get the choice to make it into my profile. Dance skills 5, computer skills 0!

10-dancer of about 14 years. Recently moved to the Austin (TX) area from New York City. Looking to get back into the competitive dance scene. My recent trainers are Ina Jeliazkova, Olga Tsikalyuk, Frantseska Yordanova, to name a few.

I dance 4 - 6 times per week primarily for exercise. I love it and would love to find a partner to attend dances with and take lessons with. I love ballroom, line dance, west coast, country couples dance, Latin social dance, and am looking into contra, folk, and square. Would love to find a partner to share the journey!

Hi I've been doing ballroom dancing on and off since childhood but never found a regular partner. It's difficult to say my level - it varies according to the dance! I am generally somewhere between bronze and silver I think. I've recently started learning sequence dances as a way to keep dancing though I would love to do more freestyle. I have an incredible amount of stamina on the dance floor and can go for hours. Contrary to most members, on this site, I am not seeking an actual dance partner for practice or to take lessons.
