I was a ballroom instructor for 15 years. No longer an instructor, I now enjoy social dancing for fun and excitement. I most enjoy the smooth or standard dances for their flow of movement.

I began ballroom dancing in 2003 and have been passionate about it ever since. I've been coached by many top professionals over these years, both locally and around the country. Most of my experience is in Standard, followed by Smooth; continuing training and competing in one or both of these styles is my current primary goal. I am open to training in Latin as well but I am not interested in Rhythm at the moment. In addition to ballroom, I’ve also studied ballet, modern, contact improvisation, and kinesiology. I have an interest in performance and choreography; I've performed in numerous shows with nine different studios, in two professionally directed productions, and at the Chicago Salsa Congress. I was the open amateur standard champion at many local competitions including the Windy City Open in 2014. (Most of my competition experience is as an amateur, but I am also potentially interested in competing professionally if I found the right partner.)

Growing up in a lower-middle class family of seven, my parents were never able to enroll me in very many extracurricular activities, due to financial constraints. Now, as an adult, I have decided that I would like to live my dream of learning to ballroom dance. So, in August 2010, I enrolled in weekly ballroom dancing classes at a local dance studio in Batesville, AR. In December 2010, my teacher introduced me to the world of social ballroom dancing in a club in Little Rock, AR, where I now go on Friday nights when my work schedule as a pre-op/recovery room nurse permits. Personally, I feel that I pick up dances quite easily. Also, my teacher says I am a very good follower. My favorite dances are the waltz and foxtrot, and I would very much like to learn the Viennese waltz, the Argentine tango, and the quick step. If someone out there will just have a little faith in me, I am very willing to learn. I just need to find the right partner---one who complements me and I him!

I enjoy dancing Ballroom and Latin but miss that special partner to forward the exciting experience and passion together on and off the dance floor. Been dancing French Jive for several years but I now want to start relearning some those forgotten Ballroom and Latin steps. Confident and comfortable at most dance styles.

Over the years created a system of teaching the major ballroom dances by interrelating steps of dances to make easy learning.Then adding personal style to ones dancing.Still work with small groups,but mostly retired from full time teaching.I have fun dancing and meeting people.Some travel,getting back to going to dance events.I will help judge sometimes but not as much anymore.I have never stopped learning new techniques and truly believe dancing keeps you young and healthy.

I have a lot of experience (years) with Lindy Hop and Salsa, but I’m still a beginner with Ballroom. Lately, I've been focusing on Waltz, Foxtrot, and Tango. I performed my first Waltz last year (2025) and this year I’m going to perform a Foxtrot with one of my teachers. I intend to perform Tango, Quickstep, and Viennese Waltz in the future. Maybe a Cha Cha, too. We’ll see. I come from a background as a musician.

I've been dancing for quite a few years wish my ability could be of a higher standard, but to be truthful it's been so difficult finding a local partner over the years with so many gaps.

I am a 20-year-old university student from Japan moving to Brussels in August. I have been dedicated to ballroom dancing for 2.5

years, and it has become my greatest passion.

Interestingly, I also belong to in competitive ballroom Dance (Contemporary) club at my university. This background gives me a deep understanding of body mechanics, balance, and core strength, which I actively apply to my ballroom technique. My training in Japan has been quite rigorous, focusing on the fundamentals of International Standard.

My goal in Brussels is to continue my training, join the local dance community, and perhaps even prepare for local competitions or social events. I want to keep improving my technique while enjoying the international atmosphere of the Belgian dance scene.

My profile states 3 years experience. THAT experience is continuous. I have been dancing off and on since the Saturday Night Fever days including a period of continuous dancing between the mid 80s and the mid 90s.

It took me a while to discover the greet function. Now that I know about greets, I've sent several greets to women who appear to be 'close enough' to events I can attend. I've used greets to avoid using tokens. Ladies, if you respond with some kind of greet that indicates possible interest, I'll happily use tokens to send you an email.

I'm searching for women who might be able to dance in Kingston or Pine Bush in Ulster county, at a number of places in Dutchess, Putnam, or northern Westchester e. g. Mount Kisco, or in Danbury. I picked those locations because I know of monthly mixed ballroom events there.
