Getting back into dancing after a long break

I grew up as an athlete and always had a love for dancing. I started teaching ballroom in 2010 and have been combining my sports background with ballroom ever since. I’m certified in Bronze but have the skill and drive to compete at a high professional level. I also have a bachelor’s degree in psychology, which helps me connect with people and bring a unique perspective to training and performing. I’m a happy, outgoing person who loves to smile and laugh. My goal is simple: to keep improving and become the best dancer I can. Let’s make it happen!

Hi, I spent 4 years in Vienna for my PhD, where I took ballroom dance classes and went to balls. I moved to Vancouver in, and I would like to dance more, socially and competitively. The dances I’m currently most comfortable with are Rumba, Chacha, and Viennese Waltz.

Professional Ballroom and Latin dancer, artist, choreographer, instructor. He took his first steps at the age of 6 and during that time, he hasa got a wide experience such as education in National Ensemble of Ballroom and Latin dance in Ukraine and Universities of Culture and Art in Kiev, He competed professionally in National and International Dance Sport competitions, consistently achieving top rankings, performed in main stages of different countries all over the world and took a part of the huge television project "Maydans" were he was one of the main assistant of the choreographer for more than 200 people. He worked in Global Top dance studios overseas and together with his students he became a Pro-Am champions in more than 6 countries such as Italy, Russia, Malta etc.

Today, continues to work with numerous artists and dancers across the country and overseas. He has an extensive background in teaching at all levels, from beginners and wedding couples to professional dancers and award-winning artists.

With thirteen years of dance experience, I truly enjoy social dancing and I'm proficient in most ballroom dances.

Dancing is one of my favorite activities. Mom says I have happy feet, and have to dance on the beat. I was born on April fools and it seems I look at life through joyful eyes

International Latin and Standard

I love to go out dancing most weekends and would love to have a dance partner. I usually go to local dances at Shriners, Elks or Norse call. I've been dancing since a teenager in Amsterdam.

I am on a collegiate ballroom team and would like to find a consistent partner (Gold or higher). I am a dedicated dancer who learns fast, loves to move, and explore the technicalities of the anatomy of dance.

I have a strong background in ballroom dancing — I trained and competed professionally for about 10 years, taking part in various championships and also teaching for a year at a dance school. My main focus was International Latin and Standard, but I also enjoyed Salsa and Social Ballroom.

Although I stepped away from dancing about 7 years ago, I deeply miss it. Dance has always been my passion, my way to recharge, and a source of happiness. Now I want to bring this discipline and joy back into my life. My goal is to rebuild my dance form, regain flexibility, and reconnect with the techniques I once mastered.

At this stage, I am open to practicing independently with a partner, creating choreographies together, and — if needed — taking private lessons later to refine technique.

I've danced since I was 9 years old and I still love to learn. I really want to have fun but at the same time dance as well as possible .

Started Swing (Modern Lindy Hop) in 2000. Inspired by Frankie Manning. Started Mambo (Triple Mambo) a few years later. Also dance Blues and Waltz.

I taught classes in Modern Lindy Hop for several years.

I dance in the styles as these dances came out of Harlem in the 40s. Preserving the history and spreading the knowledge and joy of 1940s' Rhythm Dance is a passion.

I am a strong yet conscientious lead. Strong on technique.

In my teaching years I was a noted Lindy technique instructor in the Swing Dance Community.

I taught approx 300 classes and courses. Organized 250+ dances. Served on the staff of 4 American Lindy Hop Championships. Formerly the founder/director of the Swing Dance Community Chapter serving Fairfield, Westchester and later, Putnam.

I would classify myself as a professional social dancer. I've never been in it to make money. Always kept fees as low as I could manage.

I always included teaching the history of the music and dance in my classes. Including how society as well as music and dance was forever changed by Swing.

I'm looking for a partner who shares my passion for Lindy, Mambo and Blues music and dance.

Hi, I'm 46 years old and took up ballroom dancing 11 years ago. I enjoy dancing and have advanced to a high level. I'm proficient in Latin and Ballroom. I'm very fun loving and like to have a laugh but at the same time I am very focused and willing to work hard. Would love to find a dance partner I can train with. Due to health issues and then lockdown I have not danced properly for a few years. So I don’t mind if you’re proficient or just starting out. We are all finding our feet again!!

I will happily travel and share costs but expect partner to do the same. Seeking a dance partner who will be committed and willing to be flexible with lesson times and locations. I have come to realise that you are unlikely to find a dance partner on your doorstep. So if you’re willing to travel a bit contact me.

I studied theater with a minor in dance and I am predominantly a ballerina, but I got into social dance (mostly latin and salsa) in college as a good weekend outing and a way to blow off steam and do something different then the ballet and contemporary my days were filled with. While I am still highly active in the ballet world I am looking to expand my ballroom knowledge and social dance circles and skills. I have a lot of salsa experience, and a little bit of Argentinian tango and other smooth dance experience.

**Update** I am honestly unsure how to rate my proficiency using their scale. For salsa and Latin social dance I would consider my self pretty advanced (double and triple turns, lifts and dips, need a girl who you can drop into a bachata ragdoll and watch her head almost touch the floor? Me). Years in ballet means I'm balanced and flexible. But everything else in things like the smooth world for example, I'm much closer to a beginner in terms of vocabulary. That's kinda of where I am interested in learning more.

Most leads say I am light on my feet and easy to lead. I like to be a little creative, too.
