Looking for anyone willing to learn west coast swing / country western 2-step with me. I don't have any experience other than taking a beginner ballroom dance class, but I'm not looking to continue with that style, at least not in the near term.

I have always loved to dance for the joy of it my entire life, but usually on my own. I thought it would be fun to learn to dance with a partner.

I did ballet and contemporary as a kid, and fell back in love with dance through ballroom and latin dance in college. My favorite styles are Argentine Tango and Waltz, but I'm most proficient in Salsa and Bachata. I'm a fast-learning beginner who would love to compete at some point, but I'm less than 2 years into my ballroom journey so my focus is building up my dancing skills without relying solely on classes.

I am an active, social person who enjoys dancing, playing tennis and spending time with friends. I recently started getting more into ballroom dancing and am looking for a partner to practice with and join me at social dances (and, who knows, if we are good enough we could possibly even consider entering competitions in the future -- but that is definitely not a requirement).

My 4 year dance partnership has just come to an end and I am looking for a new amateur partner to take lessons with, practice and possibly compete. My last competitions were in American Smooth at Gold level. I've been taking dance lessons for about 6 years now and would like to keep improving my technique and performance skills, learn more difficult routines and styling. I am a quick learner and a good follower, and I have a great musicality and sense of rhythm. We can dance anywhere in NoVa or MD/DC area.

On a personal note - I am well-travelled, educated, flexible and easy to get along with.

I have a deep passion for dance and was born to dance, embody and express emotion to heal the soul. I been dancing since age 2 - ballet, jazz, tap, contemporary, hip hop. Got into swing 25 years ago and salsa about 20 years ago. I used to teach Zumba and pick up styles really quickly as well as have a natural ability to follow so anything I am not yet proficient at will take no time at all. I have been dancing for about two years and can follow a lead, which i prefer over a choreographed routine. My absolute favorite dances are Salsa, Waltz and Two-Step, but really, I love all dancing and am happy to work on anything. I am Hard working, dedicated, caring, delightful, goal oriented. I am Turning 58, but have Aged reversed to 31 years old currently by implementing strategies of turning back the clock. My Home is in Orlando area, FL, but I am on the beach a lot and may relocate to beach front in Florida in the near future. I visit Fairfax Virginia to see my parents and I travel to various cities frequently. Wherever I am, I work, cook, exercises, and spend a lot of time train/dance in studios, gym and in the house. I love to compete because competitions always give me immediate, mid-term and long-term goals to train and to practice. Goals are one of those things that I rely on to work really hard and to keep focus on. I truly enjoy practicing and social dance too. I get excited about show case, because of the intimacy of the smaller venue and familiarity with everyone at the venue. I can NOT wait for the pandemic be over so we can all go out dance like before. Currently I train at home or at the locations wherever I travel to. I am getting a portable ballet barre, which will make training more complete. Update: 2023 I am now competing in Scholarship and made my first trip to Blackpool in May of this year where we placed 3rd in the ProAm in International Standard Ballroom. It was an amazing experience and look forward to going back again next year.

Looking for an Amateur competition partner interested in competing, able to put in the practice time and travel. Focus at the moment is International Standard, followed by American Smooth and American Rhythm.

Once I started, I got hooked and fell in love with Ballroom. I study at Arthur Murray and attend private lessons 5x per week and various group classes. I also for fun go out dancing Ballroom, Salsa and Argentine Tango socially.

Like many things I have pursued in life, I work at it diligently to perfect techniques and form as I strive to do my best at anything I do. I entered ProAM and Amateur competitions and rapidly moved through from Newcomer, Associate Bronze and into Full Bronze, and now Silver and Gold divisions winning my events, Solos and All Arounds locally, at the Championships and over in Prague. I dance in all majors in American Smooth, Rhythm and Waltz and Quickstep in International Standard. I have some specialty dances as well including Argentine Tango.

I thoroughly enjoy learning new dances and figures, competing and dancing socially. While I work hard and dance like I mean it, I dance with all levels of partners when at events or social outings from complete beginners to Pros. I always dance with my partner, lead and each do our part and try to make each dance an enjoyable experience. This keeps things light and fun!

I am primarily a dancer in American Smooth and have competed in 2 competitions in the bronze level. I am looking to continue in advancing in smooth but also get practicing in Standard and Intl. Latin. But the main focus in Standard and American Smooth.

I love to dance! My favorite dance is West Coast Swing! Have danced freestyle all my life. As for the number of years of experience ballroom/swing dancing that's actually hard to say. Over the years I've followed and learned a lot of dances by just going out dancing. I took a college course in social dancing. Learn a lot...forgot a lot. :) I'm a fast learner who is motivated to have fun while doing the dance right.
