Back in 1999, I started taking ballroom dancing lessons, for about 6 years. Unfortunately, I had some rough years in my life and I couldn't continue, at least with private lessons (I continued to attend parties and group classes occasionally. However, I started taking lessons again about a year ago and have been since. My favorite dances are east coast swing, lindy hop, hustle, as well as others like the salsa, mambo, merengue, cha-cha, waltz, tango. Lately, I'm learning more about the west coast swing, and have found a secondary dance teacher for the Lindy Hop where I take private lessons from her.

I am passionate about dancing with a background in Argentine tango, Salsa, West Coast Swing, and various ballroom styles. I dance for the joy of connection, music, and movement. Looking for a like-minded partner to share social dance experiences and create unforgettable moments on the dance floor.

Have been placing in finals in collegiate competitions for years in the past. I am a computer professional. I love to dance, my goal is to be able to dance in any social situation that I find myself. I have competed in local competitions and performed in showcases in Illinois and Wisconsin. I would like to be able to continue to upgrade my skills for showcase events.

Hi, Thanks for reading! I love dancing, it's more than fun, it's a passion. I'm just an amateur who dances for fun, socially. I love 70s/80s music, Disco, Latin music - Salsa, Cumbia, Bachata, Merengue, Bolero, Tango, Latin Waltz. I've been dancing since I was 10 in Peru, mostly Latin rhythms. When I came to the US, at 19, I got hooked on rock, Disco/Hustle. I can ballroom dance a little but I've never had any training, although I can pick up anything very quickly. I could dance/train every night; I love going out dancing on weekends, but I don't have a partner nor a girlfriend; I'm hoping to remedy that with your help. I was married for 23 years to someone who didn't dance at all; it was torture all those years of not having a dance partner. I hope to be a professional dancer in my next life ;-)

I'm full of energy and with lots of activity in my days. I'm unusually healthy. I exercise almost every day - weight lifting, jogging, martial arts, racquetball, yoga, tai-chi - still trying to lose more than a few pounds; yes, I'm overweight, but truly working on it. I'm hoping to have a decent body in a few months. Dancing will be a big part of my program; would you like to be part of it?

I love having long conversations over dinner in a quiet place, followed by a long walk by the water. I like to meditate and do it almost daily - trying to reach enlightenment :-) I'm a true animal lover. I have dogs/cats. I'm vegan (vegetarian for 30+ years); not so easy in Texas! It would be so nice to find a vegetarian or vegan partner. I'm a pretty good cook, but don't like to follow recipes, so I make up fancy irreproducible meals. BTW, I just don't like to drink liquor at all, it's nothing religious, nor am I an alcoholic.

Another big passion of mine is poetry. I'm an amateur poet. I've been writing poetry since I was 15. I have published 2 books of poetry (spiritual and romantic poetry); working on third. I'm usually reading several books at once, on various non-fiction topics: poetry, nutrition, enlightenment, higher levels of consciousness, life after death, spiritual development, near death experiences, Buddhism, comparative religion, eastern philosophies, etc. Thanks for reading!
