I am a ballroom dancer and pursued competitive latin and ballroom dancing in latin dances until B-class and standard dances until A-class for over 8 years in the UK, Portugal, Germany and Switzerland. For 19 years I have been dancing Salsa on 1 and on 2, and Bachata, Kizomba for the past 8 years.

Now I have the pleasure to teach private dance classes and work in a lovely dance school in Zurich, Switzerland.

I have been learning Ballroom dancing since 1987 mostly by going to group lessons in the old Wonderland and later on with Roberts, Case and B&H.

Not the average beer drinking, TV watching, middle of the road male! Tertiary educated, keen ballroom dancer, I value clear communication, respect for individuality, self-determination and the rights of all sentient beings. I seek health and constant learning over material possessions. My life style reflects my reasoning. My Chinese astrological sign is the fire boar! A healthy life style has become very important since I realized that without health money and possessions are useless. I try to live in harmony with existence and to me this means: - a 85% raw vegan diet which also excludes most animal products, avoiding as far as possible processed food, - a healthy life style which excludes all kind of drugs, prescribed or not; - exercise in the form of dancing: Ballroom (Latin, modern, and new vogue), and Taiichi and martial arts; - keeping my mind, body and spirit in balance by meditation, being aware of, and attempting to change the social and physical environment. I came to Australia in 1980, for many years I worked with computers but starting in 2000 I studied Mediation and Counselling. Currently retired and I spend a lot of time reading about alternative views of health, world politics, conspiracy theories; I practice Tai-Chi daily at Hazelwood Park and dancing in the evenings when I have a partner. I would like to live closer to nature but for the time being I live in Glenside.

I am a social dancer and not interested in competition.

I currently dancing on Mondays and Saturdays when I have a partner.

Appearance:

I am 177 cm, medium built, reasonably fit, physically and intellectually active. I prefer to dress comfortable and casual. In my previous line of work I was required to wear formal business clothes. I am quite flexible about it.

I know 40 sequence dances fluently. I go to social dances within 10 miles of home. My favourite dances are foxtrots, waltzes and tangos.

I dance Argentine Tango and always want to improve; I love that it is improvised and invites a response to the music and the occasion. I listen to the music rather frequently and occasionally play the music in small ensembles.

So how did I get here?

My interest in dance was re-kindled from the music and a desire to try something new and totally different. Whilst I enjoy a wide range of musical styles, my dance interest is focused on Argentine Tango. But I am enthusiastic and working to improve the quality of connection and communication through dance, allowing ample opportunity for a partner to express themselves and to practice on a shared agenda.

I have been working with several very supportive teachers, so opportunities for classes and milongas are always in the diary, if that is of interest. I'm also a musician and Tango DJ, so it goes without saying that interpretation of the music is a goal and the improvised nature of Argentine Tango is a perfect vehicle. I'm not interested in competition, medals or choreographed routines, but enjoy social dancing and continuously improving the dance experience. Maybe we'll meet at a milonga, somewhere.

I dance salsa and bachata very well. And I dance basic Kizomba and Zouk.

I have been dancing for many years, but took a brake from 9 years now. I miss dancing very much!! i used to dance NADB Ballroom and Latin amateur class, did formation and jazzbalet also. I'm a competitive dancer, competition dancing would be a big advance for me. I'm looking now for Ballroom, Latin or Salsa (no experience), Argentina Tango (no experience) or any other Latin America Dance. I'm highly motivated and have own transport. I just love dancing!

I love to dance. I have had some wonderful partners in the past, and have attended many lessons and clinics. I was away from dancing for over 10 years, and now I am hoping to find a new partner. My primary interest is the dancing itself. I'm not needing to find a romantic partner, just someone who wants to be out on the dance floor as much as I do. It's one of my favorite things to do, and it's great exercise.

My primary style is country western. I am very proficient in two- step, shuffle, and waltz. I have done cha-cha and West Coast swing, but I'd rate myself much less proficient in those, but I'd love to get better.

I don't know how to categorize it, but I was taught to try to be smooth, to flow, and to always keep my feet on the floor. I never learned 'styling' with my arms, and I really feel awkward if I try.

I have been told I am an excellent follower. I love to be led through complex turns and enjoy it when my partner challenges me with new moves to see if I can stay with him.

For me, dance is fun. I have never been competitive, as I think being too serious would take the fun out of it.

I'm based in Da Nang, Vietnam. I train seriously and my goal is professional-level technique, musicality and performances rather than social dancing. I have been dancing including competitions and shows in the past thirty years and I would like to continue through my retirement years.

Since one of my moms was a ballroom dance instructor, I have been a part-time ballroom dance instructor and performer for over 27 years. I had also taught at my friend’s studio as she was my professional dance partner. I am fluent in American Smooth and Rhythm, and have performed the Viennese Waltz, Quickstep, Waltz, Rumba, Swing, Bolero, Foxtrot, Tango, Cha-Cha, and Paso Doble at private, business, and charity events in Baton Rouge and Dallas.

In addition to dancing, I am a talk show host, a multi-award-winning and bestselling author, and an experiential keynote speaker. I am a single professional gentleman. I believe that authenticity, humility, and speaking from the heart are essential to forming a genuine connection.

I have always been moved by beautiful lyrics with expressive words complemented by a lovely melody. Regardless of when a song or piece of music is released, it will always be evergreen to me if it touches my heart and moves my soul. One of my all-time favorites is “What The World Needs Now,” released in 1965 by Jackie DeShannon. As a rhythmic dancer, I hope that one day I can perform with my Earth Angel Lady to this beautiful Waltz.
