I competed in American Smooth for 5 years. My most recent coach was Charlotte Jorgensen. I’ve made local finals in Rising Star and Open Pro Smooth. Also one dance local finals in West Coast, Salsa and Night Club Two Step. Looking for American Smooth partner or American Rhythm partner. I want to push my knowledge and ability by exploring rhythm so I am open to multiple styles.

I spent my youth dancing in a studio (ballet, tap, jazz, pointe). About 3 years ago I got into swing dancing (East Coast, Lindy, West Coast) in Nebraska. I moved to Des Moines during the pandemic and decided I want to start traveling for dance festivala and maybe some competition stuff when the world opens up again.

I danced for all of my junior years and gained several medals (nine I think). Then when I was in my mid-teens, I was distracted by other hobbies and did very little dancing since, which is a real shame ......... until now!

I have been taking my medals again and so far have done the Waltz, Quickstep, Rumba, Cha Cha Cha and passed all with Honours. I am currently looking to take the Tango and Jive medals this year and I entered my first competition in January at 'Social Dance' level for the 50+ years category.

I've been an Arthur Murray dance student for 5 years, and on and off for ten due to my grandmother being a student and teacher when I was a preteen. I dance American style rhythm and smooth, as well as west coast swing and some country-western dances. My top five favorite dances are Tango, Viennese Waltz, West Coast Swing, Cha Cha, and Samba. I have been in two local showcases and performed one choreographed routine so far (#brokecollegestudent mood, anyone?), but I hope as I advance in my career and dancing I can perform more and eventually compete in bigger competitions!

While I would love to compete someday, I am in a place at the moment where dancing is a hobby I happen to spend a lot of time and money on. I'm sure others can relate, especially now! So mainly, I'm just looking to get out of the house and get moving again with someone who might be looking for the same.

I live in Greenville, SC but am a dance gypsy. I have been doing some kind of dancing for longer than 20 years, starting with modern dance and ballet in my early 20's (I grew up Southern Baptist or I would have started earlier in life.) I try to dance at least three times a week...used to do more until my previous studio closed due to the instructor becoming unwell. I now dance with Ukrainians at the local Fred Astaire. I am passionate about Argentine tango & west coast swing as improvisational dances. I love to dance competitively and would love to find a partner interested in competing as amateur partners. I am self-employed and can make my schedule as flexible as I can afford. I dance at the upper levels of American style and also silver International style. I've been performing Internationally for the last 19 yrs, in major revue shows such as the Lido de Paris (Principal and Principal Attraction) the Moulin Rouge (Soloist) and Jubilee in Las Vegas. Danced in Japan, Korea, Germany, Spain, France. I danced on on 8 different cruise ships in production shows (Adagio) and as the Ballroom Couple. It has always been quite the adventure! I'm rather married to dancing and it brings me a lot of happiness. I've been dancing since I was 9, first learning ballet in San Francisco.

I started dancing in April 2014 and am loving it! I am a musician with a good sense of rhythm. I am still learning all of the ballroom steps, but particularly like rhumba, cha cha and west coast swing so far. I'm open to learning all styles of dance and am highly motivated. Currently take group lessons 1-4 times weekly and exercise regularly.

My dance background is more recent. I've been attending bachata classes and socials (4 x week). I'm a quick learner but I'd like to be more seasoned. My goal is to keep getting better and confident in bachata and salsa.

I first entered in into the realm of ballroom dancing about 2011 after dancing solo for 5 years and have since taken several years of intermediate/advanced lessons and am now training in a semi-private/group setting as well as performing on a formation team.
