Why would I put time and energy into a profile for a dance directory of only 70k people? Its interesting to me what motivates people in life. Many are on a hamster's wheel for a paycheck. Inside their heart they have a dream that's unfulfilled. I have been there in the past. I went to graduate school for business but then I realized I would rather have a career that allowed me to directly help people. A job that involved being outdoors and exercising. I was an adventure therapist for at risk youth for 3 years. Then I took another route, one that was more aligned with my artistic side...photography. Now I am working in tourism...leading tours all over the world. However a dream that I have put off is dance. It is in my blood. Just like all the members of this site, it makes me feel alive. It makes me feel so connected to my partner, the most intimate, passionate connection. Right now I am in Puerto Rico for a short time taking private salsa lessons. I also love tango and swing. One of the best dance experiences of my life was doing free form dance naked with a partner, haha! I just want to dance all day every day. I want to take it to the limit. I'm just a beginner now, but the passion I have can take me far. For those willing to relocate, so am I. Of course at first it would just be a visit.

I have a knack for dance, not necessarily for remembering steps but for natural movement, sensitivity, rhythm, and creativity. I have always been able to dance to any style of music free form. Hi everyone. I have 10 years former training in ballet, tap, modern, and gymnastics. I started teaching ballroom dancing about 6 years ago at a national chain studio which is where I was trained and certified. I am currently seeking a partner for practice (I'm trying to certify in the DVIDA syllabus now), and I am open to competition and shows as I now own a studio and help coordinate corporate and non-profit dance-themed events. I am interested in meeting people to go social dancing with as well. I am trained in American smooth, mainly Waltz,Foxtrot,Tango,Viennese Waltz,Rumba,Cha-cha,Swing, East coast,West coast,Lindy hop,Hustle,Salsa,Mambo,Samba,

I've been into swing dancing for a few years and am now learning the ballroom dances. I've found that I really enjoy these dances and would like to dance more and maybe compete.

I took Salsa lessons a couple of years ago for 12 months on and off, so I don't step on toes (well not my own!)

I have been dancing ballroom for about 5 years. Both smooth, latin and focusing a lot on swing.

I have taken group and private dance classes for about 4 years. I have competed pro-am 3 times and once in amateur at the bronze level, however I know other steps above the bronze level. I desire to learn more technique and progress to silver. Competition is not my main goal. My goal is to be a good dancer and if performance and competition opportunities arise I will consider them.

I'm a latin dancer and I'm living in Japan. I have been dancing for 8 years. I want to be a show dancer and I'm looking for partner who can show dance together.

I would love to learn to dance. I have minimal experience but have a big desire to learn.

Salsa, Bachata and Cha Cha are my main area of focus for almost 7 years. I started dancing Salsa on1 with Jimmy Rumba from Los Rumberos and moved to training in on2 with Proyecto Barrio Dance Company, both in Atlanta. I trained with the student team before spending several years traveling and performing with the Semi-pro team. During that time I also trained and performed with a number of Latin teams including Los Bachateros/Bachata Soul, Maria Voisin Dancers, and Bachatamante/Amante Dance Company as well as my own choreographies and intensive dance challenges. Over the years I have taken numerous private lessons and workshops with renown local and world class instructors including Afrocuban and Folkloric. In addition, I've taken classes in practically every style of ballroom, swing, Latin and even Argentine Tango though I've mainly focused on Waltz.

I am taking group lessons in east coast swing, 3-count hustle, foxtrot, rumba. I used to do a lot of country two step. I take a few lessons in this dance.

Advanced beginner salsa dancer looking to practice as much as possible! Although I'm a beginner, I learn quickly and am willing to work hard to meet you at your level as needed.

Performing Tap Dancing in grade school, Ice Pairs and Ballroom Dancing in high school, Disco in the 70's, C/W for the last 25 years. Last 15 years, have taken group and private lessons off and on in Fox Trot, Tango, Cha-Cha, Waltz, Two Step, Salsa, Bachata, West Coast Swing, and East Coast Swing. Most proficient is East Coast Swing but want to relearn and improve in West Coast Swing, Cha-Cha, Salsa, and Tango.

If time permits, possibly improve to the level to perform or compete. I am athletic and in good shape.

Latin styles are the most common styles that I have been learning. Been training for a combined 5hrs over 2 days per week.

I've been ballroom dancing for almost 4 years now, it's become something that I love and want to eventually make into a career. I spent 3 and a half years as a student at Arthur Murray reaching the Bronze 3 level in all dances, and Bronze 4 in a few others, although as a follower I've been lead in silver patterns. I've left Arthur Murray and am now looking to move into the path of becoming a dance teacher. As far as dance styles go American Smooth is definitely my strength, I also really enjoy West Coast Swing, Bachata and Salsa. My background comes from competitive Figure Skating so I bring some of that into my dance, when I was younger I used to do lifts on and off ice and would love to get back into doing lifts and stunts.

Currently, I am commuting to Jacksonville as an instructor in training although my profession makes it really difficult to commute till I scale back my business. Looking for a partner locally in Brunswick to train with to fast track progress with more dance practice time with a partner.

Having been a dancer for about 35 years, west coast swing, east coast swing, waltz, Tango, Cha-Cha, Rumba, and Mambo are probably my favorites, but I do many dances as well and I'm looking for a special dance partner that is eager and willing to explore the more adventurous side of dance. Another of my favorites is "Night-Club 2-step", not to be confused with the C&W 2-steps (I do all of them also). This is a very sensuous dance that lends itself to many beautiful patterns with enhanced character and styling when properly danced.
