I’ve been performing daily for 15 years. I’m trained in ballet jazz and cabaret.

I retired from dancing professionally 3 years ago. I now want to focus my energy on ballroom. While it is fairly new to me I find that the ballet foundation helps a lot for Smooth. I’m not completely unfamiliar with rhythm since I do a LOT of salsa. I may not have the right technique yet but I’m a good follower, can pick up choreography quickly and as a dancer can learn fast.

I have been taking dance lessons six October of 2006 and I am absolutely hooked. Currently, I attend lessons in salsa, hustle, west coast swing, American Style smooth American-style rhythm, international smooth, and country/western. I have been a member of three different dance performance groups that perform salsa, hustle, and west coast swing.

They tell me I'm at the intermediate level.........Who knows.....I very much enjoy dancing ....would like to find someone to practice with...

I have only been dancing for a few months but picking up quickly due to my music background. I started out with salsa and most enjoy kizomba and bachata. I also took a series of tango lessons years ago and stopped out of frustration of not finding a good partner.

Dancing has become a hobby, for at least 5 years. I belong to two dance school and take class once or twice a week. I attended at least 2 social ballroom events with friends or fellow dancers. I am retired and have the time and resources to continue having fun.

Dancing is my passion, my career, my life! I did gymnastics when I was a kid, and I'm actually starting to pick it up again since I really enjoy doing theater arts as well as adding aerials to choreographies for shows. I have been dancing most of the American smooth & rhythm ballroom dances for about a year. I go to weekly dance parties religiously. I took 2 months of group Cha Cha lessons, and have been taking West Coast Swing group lessons for about 8 months, & will be taking multiple intensive workshops in WCS this Saturday, 1/26/19.I plan to go to the Swinging into Spring workshop in Hartford this May. I have also been taking private lessons for the last several months, focusing on proper technique, while still learning new dance steps. My dance instructor’s goal is to bring me to an intermediate level in all the dances I know, hopefully by this May. My goal is also to learn Quickstep, Bolero, Hustle, and even Viennese Waltz someday! I dance about 3-4 days a week, and would be happy to dance more than that!

A few years ago I id some competition with the association of CPDDSQ. Stop for a few years. Now I started to take group lessons (ballroom) in Candiac.

I have been dancing off and on since I was about 18 months old.

- 3+ years of ballet (age 3-6, started again recently)

- 2 years of hip hop (age 8-10)

- 1 year dance team (middle school)

- 6 years cheerleading (all-stars, high school, college, and pro level teams)

- high school intermediate dance class

I have been training in ballroom since May, and teaching beginners since June. I have been training mostly in American styles, but recently started Latin and Argentine Tango. I am a relatively quick learner. I am currently up to about Bronze 3 in the DVIDA American syllabus.

I have performed but have not competed since I started my Ballroom training.

I love all form of art and look for it everywhere. Aside from being an instructor, I am a hairstylist, makeup artist, writer, I design clothes and I draw/paint, etc.

My eventual goal is to become a choreographer so I am trying to learn as much as possible.

I was a competitive dancer in my teens and was fairly successful in many competitions. A dance partner who has had some experience of competitions in their past would be ideal, but a dance partner of an intermediate standard would be great.
