Through some difficult and painful life lessons I am preparing to be better at life as a whole and I feel like a champion when I practice dancing(even though I haven't arrived at any medals, etc. yet). My desires are to learn to love all people, to get up after falling and hopefully learn from those experience(s) and finally to improve on the best I can be, while hopefully learning to listen to the genuine wisdom of others to blend with my own to build a better life.

To keep it short I have many interests and yes, I am willing to adapt to new ones within reason....except hard rock and heavy rap music. I am generally a quiet guy but in the right atmosphere can be quite lively and entertaining.

Another thing that I forgot to mention is that I am learning not just to enjoy events, outings, just being quiet, fun times, etc..........but, the most important point is that I am learning to treasure each moment that I am with that special someone and not take time and life and her for granted. ...... .... There is a saying that I learned sometime ago: "The only moment that we have is the moment that we are in" so, "What existed a moment ago has gone" and "will we be here in a moment from now?" Have you ever heard of the song "Love is a wonderful thing" an upbeat song sung by Michael Bolton? Love can be a super wonderful thing!...unless things get messed up then, it's very painful until healing takes place and all is sorted out.....Just some deep thoughts I wanted to share and hopefully help you out. I have started with gymnastics and ballet as a child. I have been competing in ballroom on and off since I was 13.

Country swing and two step used to be my happy place and when I moved to Manhattan, it slipped away. I miss it and would love to get back into "the swing" of it again.

My dance background began as an adult. I play in a big band and enjoy watching the crowd dance so I decided to learn! I have a weekly private lesson at a studio and a weekly pilates mat class to help with all of the core & back strength necessary to hold a frame & be graceful.My ranked favorites are Rumba, Waltz, Am. Tango, Bachata, Salsa, Cha-Cha, Foxtrot, Swing. I've had a handful of lessons on Argentine Tango & love it but I didn't add it in the choices because I'm not feeling very confident with it. I'm a patient person, easy to get a long with and lighthearted in lessons. If dance isn't fun why do it?

I'm not dancing in my country since i was 12 years old. I was dancing in England, Russia, Denmark, Germany, Italy so relocating is no problem for me. I've danced for school competition, definitely a little rusty but i wouldn't say I've lost my rhythm completely.

I love to dance socially and amateur competition. I can follow almost anything. Dancing and traveling make so happy.

I see live as a great opportunity to learn and grow. I try to always see the positive side of any situation.

I enjoy the arts as well being active riding bicycle, swimming, dancing or doing bare classes. Due to Covid I gave a pause on dancing but now I am back.

I've been learning/practicing mambo/salsa for about 2 years and take classes and/or go out social dancing 2-4 times a week. Recently I started Casino de Rueda at the UofM/Ann Arbor on Monday nights. Love to go to the local clubs in Ann Arbor and the Detroit area as well as the Monthly Yoruba Andabo salsa socials. Yeah, I'm hooked. I also have a limited amount of swing experience and am hoping to start Argentine tango in the fall. I would love to have a regular partner to practice all the cool stuff I have been learning.

I have two great passions in life: literature and dance. To me, dance is one of the most powerful forms of storytelling and self-expression. I’m goofy and love to joke around at times during practice, but I also take dancing seriously and care deeply about improving. I thrive on constructive feedback, love the process of refining technique, and approach dance with a strong growth mindset. As I’m a school teacher, I’m naturally curious, reflective, and always eager to learn.

I’ve been training consistently at a local ballroom studio for the past year and a half and currently compete at the full bronze level. My goal is to move into silver this summer, and I’m looking for a dedicated partner to practice and compete in American Smooth and Rhythm with. I also socially dance Salsa, Bachata, and West Coast Swing.
