I've been a dance professional active in Pro/Am Competitions for roughly 20 years. I am passionate about all the ballroom styles. I take my dancing very seriously but at the same time I like to have fun.

I used to be a young professional growing up until about 15 years old in New Jersey. I have one last year at Arizona State University and work for a professional sports governing body as well as a local organization. I would love to get back into it, both for health and training reasons.

I love to dance! I've enjoyed CW dancing, East Coast Swing, and some ballroom for several years now. More recently I've been learning West Coast and Salsa. Whether it be just social dancing, or someone who wants to compete or perform, I'm open to anything.

I have recently moved to Florida and am open to where I live here, but I'm not ever going to live where there is snow again!!!

I've danced since I was a little girl,On and off. I've gone from ballet,tap and jazz to Hip Hop and now partner dancing such as country/western,Ballroom and Swing. I am a competitor and currently partnerless.

I love to dance: primarily Blues dancing, but also East/West Coast Swing, jazz/free-style; interested in learning salsa and a-tango. I'm half Japanese and half Scott/Irish, and used to be a semi-professional jazz dancer back in college.

I host a weekly Blues dance called South Bay Fusion. I Lead and Follow, and teach beginning WCS and Blues (Lead/Follow).

Although I avoid competitions, the two WCS Jack & Jills that I've had my arm twisted to enter, I've won (thanks to two incredible partners).

My name is Slavik. I am 23 years old. I was born in Russia but lived in Canada for the past 13 years. I have a degree in business. I work as an accountant but I don't enjoy it, yet. Sports are my passion. I discovered dance a couple of years ago and have been hooked ever since. I am not a pro yet but I'm sure that with a "little" hard work anything is possible. Until recently, I've only been dancing in the Pre-Champ latin category. Ballroom is different but I'm starting to enjoy it too.

My goals are:

-Champ latin/Pre-Champ ballroom by summer 2010

-Champ latin/Champ ballroom by 2011

-train in Europe for a year in the ballroom style

-come back to Canada and compete for the Canadian Championship

-once I turn 27, go back to Russia and train in Latin for a year

-top 5 in Canada in ten dance by 28

-top 50 in the world by 29.

Dancing is my passion! I enjoy all styles of partner dancing, and I travel throughout the bay area for quality instruction and social dancing. I take regular private lessons along with series classes and workshops.

My ballroom training is primarily in the DVIDA Syllabus for the American Smooth, American Rhythm, and Nightclub style dances, and I studied Argentine Tango in Buenos Aires for seven weeks in the Spring of '08. I am interesting in learning International Standard.

While I am primarily a social dancer, I have performed on stage in an Argentine Tango formation routine as well as all the usual student-teacher medal ball and studio showcase events. I am willing to train for amateur competition with the right partner.

West Coast Swing is my favorite dance followed by Blues dancing. I enjoy all Swing, Ballroom, Country, Zydeco and Latin night club dancing. I've attended Milongas for Argentine Tango dancing.

My favorite vacation is a dance cruise and I enjoy dance conference/festivals at hotels.

My dance mission statement is to inspire creativity and chemistry in couples dancing.

I have moved to Middlesex a couple of years ago and not danced at all. I am seeking venues in and around London and greater London and would like to have a regular dance partner to improve. Not seeking a permanent partner even though I am single, I am light on my feet (I would like to think so) and have danced mainly ceroc and a little salsa. Done ballroom but that was a long time ago. I would like to socialize more too so if you are single too and able to socialize would be great.

I have been dancing for about 20 years. At times I have been intense, dancing 5 days a week and training privately. Other times, months will pass and I will only have gone once or twice. I completed bronze 4 course in ballroom last year at Arthur Murray in San Jose. These days I usually dance ballroom, but occasionally do country western as well. In general I have strong skills, but there are only a half dozen dances that I do often enough for me to possess a large repertoire. At many others I would describe myself as a very experienced dancer with just beginner to intermediate knowledge of the patterns of those dances. This is what I'd like to change. Right now, my strong dances are salsa, rumba, east coast swing, and country two step but all the other ballroom dances (+ country & western & folk) are fair game. With a bit of review and practice, I'm sure I can quickly recapture the things I have learned over the years that aren't quite at my fingertips.

After I was widowed I started dancing as a complete beginner, about 10 years ago, and have achieved medal standard up to third star Latin and Ballroom, as well as taking a few fun exams in Club Dances, and have always been extremely pleased with the results.

I continue to take regular individual lessons with a teacher in both disciplines to continue developing my dancing skills and technique.

I started competing on the Sunday circuit 6 years ago and have entered competitions in both Ballroom and Latin, Senior Prix, Intermediate and the Over-50s classes.

I am told I have potential. I simply love dancing, learning, training and competing. I am looking forward to working hard to achieve success in competitions and would enjoy the challenge of dancing with an experienced dance partner.

My preferred discipline to compete in is Standard Ballroom, but with the right partner I would be more than happy to be a Ten dancer.

I am new to NYC and live in UWS. Love it here! Am a beginner/intermediate in salsa, west coast swing, and two-step, and would love to improve in all three.

My desire is to dance more frequently on a regular basis.

Currently, I participate in a ballroom dance class on a weekly basis and attend local ballroom dances one to three times a month. Ballroom dancing and music from the 1940's big band era is my favorite. However, I am open to other types of music and dancing.

I was top gold male winner in USDC in 2006 in Orlando Fla, and top gold male winner in ten dance in Ohio Star Ball in November 2008. I do Pro Am International Standard Ballroom and Latin competitions with Professional Denise Rivera and I am trained by Professional husband Martin Rivera and compete in 4 major Competitions per year. Martin and Denise Rivera trained in London with the great coaches and choreographers for four years, and won the United Kingdom Showdance title twice.

I competed the Millennium 2005 and the Florida Superstars 2005 with special recognition. In 2006 I competed the Heritage Classic at Grove Park, the Millennium 2006 in St Pete, the Volunteer State Dance in Nashville, the Florida State Dance in Sarasota 2006 with Triple Crown Award, the USDC 2006 in Hollywood Fla and the Ohio Star Ball 2006. I competed and won Top Gold Male at Ohio Star 2006. I competed and won Top Gold Male at USDC in 2008. I have trained with Joan and John Knight, Shirley Ballas and Ricardo Cocchi, Donnie Burns MBE, Markus and Karen Hilton MBE, Espen Salberg, Alan Tornsberg, Vibeke Toft, David Sycamore, Denise Weavers, Sammy Stopford, Barbara McColl, and others. I am very serious about dancing and plan becoming properly certified and teach eventually as a professional.

I have competed in the Pro Am United Country Western Dance Council events 2000 through 2005 and won the Pro Am Newcomer World Championship, then Pro Am Silver Intermediate and Open Intermediate in the World Championships in Stockholm, Sweden, on New Years 2005.

I focus entirely on international 10 dance ballroom and latin at this time and forward.

Learning ballroom dancing is a universal language and has given me a good way to understand and communicate with others. Dance has been a form of therapy and a valuable investment in my physical health and mental balance and inner spirit! Creating body motion and feeling "at will with skill" predictably is my competitive desire.
