I was a competitive ballroom dancer in college for about two years. I stopped dancing and recently picked it up again about 2 years ago. I've started again from the basics and have built a solid foundation. I'd like to find a dance or practice partner on a similar level or slightly more advanced to take private lessons together, and practice at least once a week. Last year (2023) I participated in 2 competitions, and this year (2024) I will be participating in a total of 4. I take 8-10 private lessons a month with an independent instructor so I'm not part of any studio and will not be joining any studio. I enjoy going to social dances as well.

I\'m a fairly recent West Coast Swing junky. I have been taking group and private lessons for about 2 years. Now I really need to dance! To just get out on the floor, listen to the music, and let the beat take over my actions.

I\'d really like to learn ballroom. That is next on the list. I\'m planning on taking lessons starting in December, and would love a partner to dance with!

What else? I\'ve tried karaoke, but that usually clears the place out, and the club owners have asked me not to sing any more...

I\'m becoming a work out nut, but am not obsessed. I love to cook, and eat, which is a big part of the reason I work out a lot. Vicious cycle.

I\'m taken some intro Salsa lessons, and am really enjoying that, line dancing and any other dancing I can get my hands on...OK, hold on, shouldn\'t that be \'get my feet on\'? Sorry, I went somewhere else for a minute there. Back to the subject.

I\'m a very solid lead, and have the typical male problem of trying to remember what to do on the floor. In other words, I have learned a ton, and just want to keep dancing as much as possible. I love to dance, and will continue dancing as long as I can stand up. I\'m out at least twice a week, and would really enjoy being able to dance at home, or with a partner, now and then just for kicks, trying new things, and really enjoying the dance.

Passionate about dancing, both latin and standard. I am aiming to strive for excellence in this sport and participate in competition. Let us dance together to make our country proud!

Q: What qualities do you possess that would make you a good partner?

As I mentioned due to my experience with syncro I have very strong skating skills and I am very good with timing and coordination. I am also very familiar with skating in pairs group etc. during my synchronized skating career I also learned some basic lifts, though it’s been a while. I have a strong core and good communication and dedication.

Extra comments:

I took 6 months off due to injuries of both my left and right ankles, in that time I mainly attended physical therapy. This was roughly a year and a half ago at this point. However due to said injuries it caused me to fall behind in my MITF testing sadly, as well as my dance testing, and skating in general.

I am a fairly good dancer who likes to practice and who has a lot of patience. I really would love to find someone who would like to take dance classes in ballroom, hustle, and west coast swing or nightclub two-step.

I began ballroom dancing only about 1.5 years ago, but I took ballet, jazz, modern, and tap when young and have done a lot of club dancing. I am currently taking private lessons every other week and I take a lot of group lessons with Dayton Ballroom Dance Club and local dance establishments. I am at Bronze 2 level in dance club and am working on gold technique in Cha Cha with my private. My instructor is going to teach me a solo routine to do in a competition, but I would at some point like to take lessons, dance more, compete, etc. with a regular partner as we both decide, if I can find one. There aren't a lot of prospects that I know of at the club who want to do this.

I favor standard and smooth and have trained competitively for 10 years, competing am/am in the O/35 and pro/am in championship levels.
