I have been dancing for the last 12 years with my primary focus on International style Latin and Standard. I danced briefly with a pro and am currently taking lessons with an excellent teacher. I had a break during Covid dancing but have returned to dancing over the last year.

I am thinking about moving to Florida, so if you have some thoughts about dancing in Florida, or living there year round, let me know. The other places I am considering are North Carolina and South Carolina, maybe Charlotte. My hope would be to find a place with year round moderate weather, (Not much snow and ice, but not real warm either.), that has a lot of Social Ballroom Dancing.

I am now retired, and looking for partners who would like to meet me at one of the many area Tea Dances that are done during the day. I also like to try new places, so let me know if there is a place to dance, (Daytime or evening.), that you would like to try out.

"Smooth", "Good Leader", "Exciting" and "Fun" are the words I hear most when partners compliment my dancing.

I am a very good leader. I can lead many newer lady dancers through some fairly advanced patterns and figures. I often have partners who comment that I was the first man to lead them through a figure that they had been trying to learn for quite some time.

I dance to have fun. I want my partners to enjoy their time on the floor with me, as much as I enjoy my time on the floor with them.

Social Ballroom Dancing is, or at least it should be, "Friendship set to music".

It isn't about trying to be perfect. Dancing is about playing well together, and taking good care of each other on the dance floor. What could be better than when a man and a woman, unselfishly work together for the common good?

I am a "Social Dancer", which means that I accept full responsibility for leading my partners well. If something goes wrong, it is always the man's fault. (If I had led it a little bit better, it might have worked.)

I will pay full time and attention to you when we dance. It is impossible to lead well without making your partner the most important woman in the world. (For three short minutes, it will be, "All about you"!)

social salsa dancer dance 3 nights/week

I dance primarily country and absolutely love to dance. Two step, West Coast, Hustle being my favorites. I have experience teaching and can fast track you up to speed quickly. I have a lot of energy and need that from my partner as well.

I have been dancing ballroom competitively in high school, however stopped doing it as life happened. Have been dancing socially every chance I get. I started ballroom dancing about 14 years ago for fun and decided to teach to support my dance habit. A few years ago I had a very bad sprain and have not danced much since then. I lived in New Orleans for 20 years. I began dancing Zydeco/Cajun on occasion. Seven years ago I began East Coast Swing. Over the past 7 years I added Blues and Tango. Dance salsa for about 6 years, but stopped because of covid. Heard that dancing is gradually opening in Vancouver BC, so I need a dance partner to join the class and do regular practice.

You lead her during a dance to showcase how beautiful she is." This advice was invaluable in making us better Salsa leads and more enjoyable for our dance partners.

As a returning dancer after several years, I currently consider myself at a beginner-intermediate level 1. I've attended many dance schools, completed many Salsa and Bachata group and private lesson sessions. I'm actively refreshing my memory through group lessons and private lessons when I find partner(s) to participate in lessons and dance events with me.

Dancing ballet for the past two years, recently started private ballroom lessons. Novice in both. Favorite dances are waltz and American Tango. Have natural rhythm and timing, but those steps can get challenging.

I love to dance and have taken some dance classes at Arthur Murray. I have varied interests in music and will dance to almost anything. However, oldies (50's and 60's) are probably my least favorite. Because my profession is as a registerd nurse, I am flexible as far as where I live. If you are interested in competition and we are compatible, I would be up for that as well.
