Thrilled at discovery: from new dance steps to the leading edge in most fields--experimenting and synergizing with my partner. While I'm silver level, I have had advanced coaching and taken amateur 1st places in Rhumba, Cha Cha Cha, Samba & Jive in neighboring cities. Since last year I've begun to take regular blocks of lessons (WCSwing & NiteClub2Step)and whatever a nifty teacher that comes to town and gets a class together for... (quick-step, waltz, tango, salsa, hustle). I've been out of the regular comp & showcase scene and getting some tune-up coaching after having gotten blurry on probably everything except hogging the local GR singles' dance floors in mild showoff mode every weekend.

I am alive to the idea world, (not the dry pedantic sort of intellectual), and aesthetics (of the bright & healing kind of fine arts) a Renaissance generalist, having been on the quest for truth, beauty and goodness in most of the traditional fields (art, philosophy, science and spirituality) and many of the alternative avenues and metaphysics--hence my becoming a lacto-veggie since pre-teen, a yoga meditator, and later studied Waldorf pedagogy, energy healing, bio-acoustics, massage, neutraceuticals, vegetarianism, Anthroposophy, Arica, Landmark Communication, ufology, spiritual science, wholistic studies, appropriate technology, listening to CoastToCoastAm, and NewDimensionsRadio etc. as well as hobbies of reading, biking, inline skating, photography, hiking, swimming, making & visiting fine arts...in between the dancing of course! ;^)

I used to go social dancing about 30 years ago, but never got past beginner level. I'm retired from teaching so I have more time to practice and learn. I have taken a few free lessons at dance venues.

I was born in Puerto Rico but have been in U.S. for 25 years. I started dancing when I was a kid. I love to dance all types of music but I surely love to dance BACHATA(my favorite), Salsa, Merengue and everything that has music in it. Dancing is in my blood, I can dance even when I am sleeping.

I enjoy the latin style of dancing. I would like go find a dance partner to meet 3 or 4 times a week.

My past wife told me once that I didn't take her dancing, and I heard that loud and clear, decided I wanted to offer anyone in the future fun on the dance floor, so @20 years of dance lessons (which I've forgotten most of them, lol!) Started dancing Latin and standard at age 3, recently went pro and successfully competed open and rising star smooth. I will dance 9-dance, 10-dance, or latin. I train up to three hours everyday, take coachings from top coaches, as well as compete as often as possible. Looking for a pro partner or amateur looking to go pro.

I trained in ballet, tap, jazz, and character dance in my youth, and had great fun at weddings with waltzes and polkas. I more recently returned to dance when we took my aging parents to a local 1940s USO style swing dance and we all had a blast. I began learning and loving East Coast Swing, Fox Trot, Cha Cha, etc. I am interested in learning Lindy, Balboa and almost any other style of dance. I'm a quick learner and enjoy mixing things up and trying something new.

I started dancing during the disco craze of the 1970-80s. After my daughter was born, I took about a 15 year break, but was pleased to find that when I returned to dance, I remembered quite a bit. I enjoy dancing in a number of venues in the metro Detroit area.

I have been dancing for the last 12 years with my primary focus on International style Latin and Standard. I danced briefly with a pro and am currently taking lessons with an excellent teacher. I had a break during Covid dancing but have returned to dancing over the last year.

I am thinking about moving to Florida, so if you have some thoughts about dancing in Florida, or living there year round, let me know. The other places I am considering are North Carolina and South Carolina, maybe Charlotte. My hope would be to find a place with year round moderate weather, (Not much snow and ice, but not real warm either.), that has a lot of Social Ballroom Dancing.

"Smooth", "Good Leader", "Exciting" and "Fun" are the words I hear most when partners compliment my dancing.

I am a very good leader. I can lead many newer lady dancers through some fairly advanced patterns and figures. I often have partners who comment that I was the first man to lead them through a figure that they had been trying to learn for quite some time.

I dance to have fun. I want my partners to enjoy their time on the floor with me, as much as I enjoy my time on the floor with them.

Social Ballroom Dancing is, or at least it should be, "Friendship set to music".

It isn't about trying to be perfect. Dancing is about playing well together, and taking good care of each other on the dance floor. What could be better than when a man and a woman, unselfishly work together for the common good?

I am a "Social Dancer", which means that I accept full responsibility for leading my partners well. If something goes wrong, it is always the man's fault. (If I had led it a little bit better, it might have worked.)

I will pay full time and attention to you when we dance. It is impossible to lead well without making your partner the most important woman in the world. (For three short minutes, it will be, "All about you"!)
