Most of my dance training has been in Zumba classes. While I have not spent too much time dancing with a partner, I can do a lot with a good lead. I would like to dance for fun, and possibly more.

Retired mechanical design engineer. Hobbies cycling and ballroom dancing. Reasonably sociable fellow who likes nothing better than a chat with someone who is congenial. Not usually extrovert but I have my moments. Would like to do more dancing but without a regular partner it is frustrating. I have weekly one-to-one lessons.

I have started balroom dancing when I was 6 years old and have finished before 17. After long brake I would like to come back to dancing so Im looking for a partner. I use to be a very good dancer with experience in around 50 competitions in Poland, Germany or Canada.

I have danced competitively for three years with the MIT Ballroom Dance Team and have competed last in Standard pre-champ and Latin Gold. In addition, I occasionally have done pick-up Smooth on the Silver. Due to job related relocations, I was not able to dance for years, but am now back on the floor. I enjoy practicing, competing, and improving. Next to focusing on technique, I like to work on the character of each dance.

I started dance lessons in 1970 and completed IDTA up to 3 gold bar in latin and ballroom, took a 15year break to have family and career returned to complete up to 6 gold bar in latin and ballroom and trained both daughters, danced with them to 4 gold bar and still train to a high standard each week now. I also do a bit of teaching which I really enjoy but would like to do more social dancing and with a regular partner especially as I have now retired from fulltime work.

I recently discovered West Coast Swing. I haven’t been this inspired about dancing in a very long time. I took ballet, contemporary and jazz as a teenager but that went by the wayside long ago. I am very interested in finding a partner who wants to go out dancing with me.

I have a passion or dancing and music. I work during the day at a medical spa and at night I teach dancing or socializing with my friends. People consider me as a loving, honest person who always care for others. I am a down to earth nature girl that can enjoy god's creations and the next dress up for a night out on town. Quiet moments are just important to me as socializing with ones you care for. No matter what you do in life, just do the best you can, that is my believes.

. I'm seeking "tallish" women (around 5'5 to 5'9) who enjoy swing dancing or walking, and don't live too far from Williamsport (gas prices).

* When I'm dancing, I like looking across at my dance partner, not down; and it's easier to get underneath the arm of a taller woman when making a dance turn.

* My Significant Other of 20 years passed away unexpectedly in March 2022.

2. MY OWN "BAGGAGE":

* I have really bad hearing, even with the best hearing aids. I can usually hear relatively well on the phone, but in a location like a restaurant with people talking all around or on a dance floor, I usually have problems hearing. (I'm looking into getting a cochlear implant, but currently I don't quite qualify under Medicare rules.)

* I'm NOT a well-rounded person. My talents that are of interest to women are probably limited to swing & ballroom & line dancing, walking & hiking, and possibly visiting restaurants.

* The activities that I spend my most of my time on -- model train automatic controls, building amateur web pages, and making amateur videos -- are activities that most women find boring.

* Personality: I'm a retired mechanical engineer. Applicable joke: "Question: What do engineers use for birth control?" Answer: "Their personalities".

3. OTHER INFO:

* LOCATIONS: I was born in Williamsport PA, although I have also lived in Kentucky, Maryland, Colorado, California, and Arizona (in that order). I have BS and MS degrees in Mechanical Engineering from Penn State University Park.

* DOG: I'm an incompetent dog owner. I now have one 67-pound female staffordshire/bulldog/corgi mixed-breed dog (named Sassy) that I "inherited" from my Significant Other when she passed away. Unfortunately, the poor dog is BORED to death, having to live with me.

* MUSIC: I like Country Rock -- anything with a strong beat, that's good for Swing or Cha-Cha dancing.

I'm learning both salsa and bachata. I want to increase my skill rapidly... and that requires practice.

I have a degree in music. I actually used to teach piano for a living, so I understand how people learn new skills. I can have fun while taking something seriously.

My goals are to become very good for social dancing.

I began dancing as a teenager and have been dancing over 40 years. I consider myself a serious dancer and an excellent follower. I am always willing to learn more about ballroom dancing and especially Argentine Tango dancing. My favorite dances are American and Argentine tango, bolero, and samba. I have experience in American Smooth, American Rhythm, East Coast Swing, West Coast Swing, Hustle, Salsa. Most of my experience has been at the Bronze and Silver levels simply because of a lack of partners who are experienced at higher levels. My goal is to become more proficient at the higher levels. I am also interested in competing which I have not done before.

Years ago, used to dance several dance styles. More advanced in ballroom and country and a beginner in swing. I have not dance in many years due to a knee injury but am now ready to get back on the dance floor and slowly build back to a silver level.

I am married, but my husband does not care to dance. I really miss it. Dancing is good exercise and stress relief for me. I am friendly and caring and work with elderly people in therapeutic recreation. I am willing to learn new steps. I think it is fun to dress up when I go dancing.

I took private and group lessons briefly and now I am taking private lessons in Swing and Ballroom dance

I have been dancing both salsa and latin for about 3 years but only started competitive latin a year ago. I hope to start competing in Novice Category soon.

Experienced, (26-years), dancer with 8-years 9 Dance Competition experience in Open/Pre-Championship and Championship levels within the USABDA / USA Dance regional and national competitions. International Standard competition at a bronze level.

Training routine during competitive phase: 2-hours lessons/coaching per week with 5-days of 2-hour practice/rehearsals per week during competitive seasons.

Currently, training consists of general and dance fundamental exercises with occasional review of recorded dance lessons or YouTube instructional videos. One to two times per week social dancing at USA Dance and local studio sponsored events with some Intermittent practice within local dance community.

Former Professional Rising Star competitor, I had to stop competing because of an injury my partner sustained that made her unable to dance. I'm hoping to return to the competition circuit.

I have been dancing ever since I was a child and growing up in the 1960's on was most reflective of Michael Jackson and The Jackson 5, Soul Train, Rock 'n Roll, Modern Jazz and what they called "Go-Go". My parents danced the Jitter Bug, Fox trots and Waltzes. My brother(s) and I are musicians, oldest brother on guitar and other older brother closer to my age on percussion, and myself clarinet, now harmonica mostly (in all genres), some piano and percussion as well as alto sax; my sister danced. We all danced. In my high school years, in the late '70's I began dancing in the street on rollerskate, 4 wheel and later blades. Today I rollerskate street dance to music that moves and inspires me most to blend old and new styles. It would be so much fun to start up a little troupe of street dancers and entertain the public. I most always get such wonderful, positive responses and reactions from people, and often even stop me to talk and thank me. I have some new ideas on dancing and exercise, as well as how to promote The Arts and all the wonderful benefits associated with creativity in our world today. I'm so happy to disover this site and hope to find likeminded lovers of dance to join me in this fine expression!: )

I relocated to St Simons Island, GA and opened a studio, and now I work primarily out of Florida & Atlanta, GA and travel as often with work with cruise ships, workshops and film. My experience is in various styles such as hip hop, theater arts, etc. Also I primarily dance American Rhythm & Smooth; however I like International Latin. In addition I havie a gymnastics background, and I’m athletic and motivated.

I am learning Cha Cha, Rumba, Waltz, Tango, Foxtrot, West Cost Swing, East Cost Swing, Swing, Salsa and some others in Dance training classes in Fairfax.

I was trained about 8-12 hours in the class for each of above.

I love to dance socially and amateur competition. I can follow almost anything. Dancing and traveling make so happy.

I see live as a great opportunity to learn and grow. I try to always see the positive side of any situation.

I enjoy the arts as well being active riding bicycle, swimming, dancing or doing bare classes. Due to Covid I gave a pause on dancing but now I am back.
