I danced on the competitive team for the University of Minnesota for a year, and I fell in love with ballroom dancing. I am most familiar with American Smooth and American rhythm, but have dabbled in international standard and international rhythm. I'm looking to generally improve and it would be fun to compete.

I am engaged and dance with my fiancée. I am not looking for a partner at the moment, but I have a gold membership/ lifetime subscription.

My overall dance experience started with Ballet when I was in 5th grade, about 1982. My social dance experience really started in 1991, and I've really gotten into it since 1995. I've been a social dancer for many years, who started in Lindy Hop with flips and tricks and transitioned into Ballroom for longevity. Now I am very passionate about Smooth and Latin, and still love Lindy, Salsa and Argentine Tango. I've performed on stage at the Hollywood Bowl 3 times, one of them with Big Bad VooDoo Daddy. I have performed as a principal dancer in a Pepsi commercial dancing Charleston, a Jack in the Box commercial and also several movies including "Gangster Squad" doing Lindy Hop, "Haunted Mansion" dancing Viennese Waltz as a ghost and salsa in "The Ugly Truth". In a franchised Competitive Circuit, I have regional titles for Open Professional American Smooth and Open Professional Latin American. I've had two wonderful long term dance partners and I am really excited to dig in and dance!! I compete in American Smooth and Latin and have time and money and eagerness to become the best dancer I can be. I won first place in Open Professional Smooth at WCDC 2012 & 2013 (a regional Fred Astaire dance competition). 3rd at San Diego RS Smooth. 2nd at IGB Rising Star Smooth. 6th in Open Pro Smooth at IGB 2013.

I just started weekly salsa classes. I'm an absolute beginner. I have danced bachata and took a bachata boot camp that lasted a few hours, but other than that I am a social dancer. I would love to be able to learn all the classic dances and be proficient enough to just be able to get out there and dance with anyone. I have rhythm because I'm a musician, but my body doesn't seem to understand that lol

I LOVE to dance. In the future I would like to take ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop, and balboa class. I started dancing in college and was a member and officer of the UT Ballroom Dance Club. I started out in American style for 1 1/2 yrs and have changed over to international.

I studied under Stewart Yaros, Curtis Prevost, and Sherry Reynolds in Austin, TX. I took private lessons with Raza at I Dance 2 for 2 months. I took lessons at Gocha and Shorena's for a year in Dallas, Tx. I did a waltz showcase Nov '07 for USA Dance Dallas. I competed in country western with my instructor Mike Wagner 2007. I took lessons from Ryan Lewis for a year. I've taken lessons with Arkadiy Polezhaev and Natalia Panina for a yr. I am currently taking privates with Vika Belova/Soto, Paul Richardson, and Olga Richardson.

My favorite overall dance is country two-step. My favorite Latin dance is Samba. My favorite standard dance is waltz. I also enjoy lindy hop, hustle, and merengue.

I am an open amateur dancer looking for a leader for standard and/or smooth. I have 10 years experience with ballroom dance and have danced open amateur in all four styles. I worked as a professional contemporary and corps dancer for two year and teach multiple college teams. I'm willing to relocate for the right person.

I am an active amateur dancer seeking someone who is as interested in the lovely

argentine tango dancing as I am. I have danced amateur ballroom ( swing, foxtrot, merenge, mambo tango ) five years. I like to travel to experience what I have learned and to meet new people.

I have been a dancer of the above four styles with a stable partner since my late teenager years for a total of 8 years. Currently I participate in Zumba, an intensive Latin line dance, two or three times a week, continuously for 3 years.

My background is tap and ballet but began social dances a few years ago.

I have never done any competition type dancing. I really think dancing is for fun and preciseness is not necessary. There are no wrong moves. I think everyone should personalize their dancing to their own enjoyment.

I started dancing in 1989 but didn’t start in ballroom until 2010 in the Houston area. My favorite quote is “practice like you’ve never won. Perform like you’ve never lost” and truly, I try to do so. I have retired. Spent 32 yrs a hospital RN. Would get to the club or dance lessons whenever I could while working full time.

I learned to dance at an early age. Our family and relatives danced at most all family gatherings. I miss dancing very much. Dance speaks to your soul and soothes your body.. it's like another language that can be exciting, fun, laid back, and sensuous. I also enjoy family, golf, road trips and traveling. I am just recently retired and ready to savor the next chapter of my life.

I started to dance ballroom in Moorpark Junior college, under the great dance teacher Dennon Rawles. I learned a variety of dances, including salsa, swing, tango, & waltz. I really enjoyed it, and now I go to social dancing and lessons for bachata. I enjoy sensual bachata. I have tried kiz, zouk, and others, and am open to all kinds.

My name is MaryEllen and I have been ballroom dancing for about 5 years. The first year I was taking private lessons in American Smooth and for the past 4 years I have been taking private lessons in International Standard. I also do East Coast Swing, West Coast Swing. I am very much interested in finding someone who would like to practice, dance socially, do some showcases and at some point in time compete.

I used to compete Open Gold International Latin 14 years ago, and stopped dancing for 13 years to raise kids. I got back into dancing in early 2022. I'm struggling to figure out where I fit in with dancing because my body doesn't move like it used too 🙄, so, competition might not be right for me...unless it's just for the fun of it or with the right person. I really love social dancing and want to focus on the joy of dancing. I wouldn't mind doing performances or shows, though. And I still remember a lot of Latin technique and I'm confident that I can be a decent practice partner for Latin or teach what technique I know.
