I enjoy going to festivals and workshops and toy with the idea of competing - probably UCWDC. Elsewhere in my life, I enjoy a wide variety of activities and am eclectic in my talents. I am interested in extending my ballroom/sequence dance experience. I have danced Jive (Rock & Roll), Lindy Hop and Balboa. I currently do occasion classes in Lindy Hop at which I am reasonably competent. I am a reasonably good Balboa dancer.

I used to dance salsa regularly before you-know-what stopped everything. Since the end of the lockdown, I've never really got back into it, as all the classes I used to enjoy never seem to have restarted. I danced tango for several years, so I know how much it helps having a regular partner for both motivation and making progress. Salsa is my first love, though. In a narcissistic way. I learned to dance 20 years ago, by taking lots and lots of group lessons, then practiced at weekly dances. Like most dancers, I was knocked out of the dance world for two years. I recently got back into it and was delightfully pleased that I didn't lose any ground. Maybe a wee rusty in a few styles, but I'm working out the kinks. My three favorite dance styles are still WCS, NC2, and Argentine Tango, which I can integregate into a fusion and delectably paint the floor. During the pandemic, I substituted dance with yoga. My balancing skills have improved and I'm ready to get it going with a special partner.

I stared dancing at 18 when I took my first dance class as in college. I had no idea it would be so fun. I ended up dancing all through college and was even in Ballet company for a few years I previously had a handful of Ballroom. Swing, and salsa classes over the years and Always wanted to do more partner dancing so I'm open to pretty much any style. I recently picked up Country dancing and am most interested in country dancing.
