I have been dancing since childhood. I love to dance and wish I could dance more often. Although I am enrolled in ballroom dance classes/lessons, I need to practice to improve. Unfortunately my husband cannot be my partner because he is a non-dancer. I like to go out to social dancing. Since he does not dance, my husband has no objection if I go to dance halls with a dance partner.

I've been taking lessons, both private and group, for about 30 years. I love all American style dances. I've done some pro-am competition. I'd like to do more competitions, perhaps with another amateur. I enjoy doing showcases.

A hopeless outdoorsy romantic who unwittingly fell in love with Contra dancing 18yrs ago (still my favorite dance).

I also love 14 other ballroom & swing dances--& have been a dance class junkie the last 12yrs (mostly West Coast Swing). I usually take 1-2 group dance lessons 4 nites/wk--followed by 1-3hrs of social dancing. Plus one private lesson with champion instructor the last few months.

Also take lots of classes at 3-5 WCS conventions per yr, plus 5-7 Contra festivals, & one Country wkend. Dance wkends are usually my favorite times of the year. Almost forgot: it's great fun dancing to live music at Blues clubs & other venues 1-3x/month.

Other interests: bicycling (tandem, mtn, road, touring), hiking, traveling, musical & dance performances, movies, plus public TV/radio. Am a politically liberal Unitarian who is very respectful of the views of others.

I have taken basic and intermediate lessons and it has been said that I am a good follower and light on my feet. I dance for the joy of it. Am looking for a dance partner friend, not a boyfriend. I can dance to the fast east coast tunes. My favorites are Rumba, cha cha, east & west coast swing. I’d like to get better at fox trot, salsa and waltz.

I am mainly interested in an ARGENTINE TANGO partner, but have danced various international dance styles (International Standard and Latin/Ballroom, Jive, Salsa, Hustle/Swing) for about 15 years mainly in Switzerland on a social level. Meanwhile, I have arrived at Argentine Tango, which is now my main focus. I started five years ago, stopped again and am now dancing for about four years again.

I dance and practice two to six times a week Argentine Tango on an intermediate level. I am now looking for a partner because on this level, quite some practise is necessary to improve further. Sensitive and responsive as a "Stradivari violin" ;) I find an eternal bliss in the union and the unison of the partners and the music, that creates that unique out-of-this-world performance and brings a tear to spectators. The kind of performance that touches everyone's heart and is the ultimate expression of our feelings and emotions. That is what I strive to achieve as a consummate professional and express with my body and every step and movement that I make with it. (Wow! I am not sure how I came up with all this, (well, the compliment was a true one from someone), but other than that, it must have been after watching one of those performances, I think by Mirko and Edita, or Katusha and Arunas, or Yulia & Riccardo.. - they leave me so moved and inspired and eager to go to the dance floor right away and practice day and night till I am as good. These couples are so breathtaking and so inspiring!) I started dancing as a freshman in college. Not knowing anybody on campus, I joined the school swing club to make new friends. That was more than 15 years ago, and since my college days, I haven't really had anyone to dance with as a regular thing. I still go to dance nights from time to time, but it's always up in the air as to whether I can find a partner.

I have been always loved dancing. I took some ballroom dancing when I was a child. Recently fall in love with Argentinian Tango.

Well, I love to dance, I like to learn differente dances, for Example, I don't know to dance Tango, but I want to learn, 80's Music, and Salsa too.

I danced with the MIT ballroom dance team during grad school and competed in amateur competitions in the Boston area for ~6 years. It was so much fun that I participated in as many competitions as my schedule would allow including MIT, Harvard, Yale, Brown and Boston University competitions placing in the finals of Standard, Latin, and Smooth. My proficiency when I stopped competing was Gold level. I took a break from dancing after I completed grad school but would like to get back into it. I think ballroom dancing is like Oxygen. You cannot live without it! :)

Dance always fascinates me and it becomes a part of my life. After having experienced Argentina Tango for six years, I started to learn the International Ballroom (focusing on Standard so far and planning for Latin). Now, I love it more than ever. I am trying my best to make great improvements and to win competitions!

Started in ballroom then East Coast swing/lindy. Spent time in Houston Tx. and really took a quick liking to West Coast Swing and Country Western. Would love to improve to a competition level in any of the above, however first and foremost comes the joy and fun of dancing, so i don't get overly serious and restricted by technical issues, rather dance to the music and make sure we both enjoy the dance. Love to improvise and work on new steps. Really like the smooth international dances and WCS. Between group lessons and open dances I currently dance approx 2-4 nights a week. When playing golf I have been known to dance between Golf holes also.

I'm a natural dancer with a smooth lead style. I dance daily and I have installed a hardwood floor in a 14' x 20' room in my house for dance practice. I'm serious about learning to dance.

At this point I have some silver level foxtrot and American smooth waltz. I have a desire to take my waltz to silver level or beyond. I learn quickly and I practice.

I have done a cha-cha/bachata showcase and was part of a rumba showcase at dances and I'd like to work up another showcase routine like a waltz or foxtrot/swing. I'm interested in dance competition as a way to take dance to a higher level.

I live in East Vancouver/Camas and it's an easy drive to get to Norse, Polish, Melody, Parkrose and other North Portland dance venues.

Dancing is my passion! I started in 1986 with ballroom standard/latin and hustle, since 2012 I've been dancing intensively Argentine Tango, and started with free improvisation, but I have tested and danced a number of different dances, too. Thus, I am interested in a wide range of dances, it also depends on the preferences of the dancing partner.

I am also open to dance festivals, tango marathons, dance vacations etc. My dream is a stay in Buenos Aires or on Cuba.

Tanzen ist meine Leidenschaft! Angefangen habe ich vor etwa 30 Jahren mit Standard/Latein und Disco-Fox, seither habe ich vieles ausprobiert und getanzt (Tango Argentino, Milonga & Vals, Salsa, Merengue & Bachata, Forró, Rock'n'Roll, Ceilidh, Volkstänze). Tango Argentino tanze ich nun seit 2012 intensiv, parallel habe ich mit freier Improvisation angefangen. Ich bin immer mal wieder mit einer Hobby-Formation aufgetreten, z.B. auf Bällen, zuletzt 2011/12 mit einer Jive-Formation mit ballettartiger Choreografie inkl. Hebefiguren im Rahmen des Jubiläums einer Ballettschule sogar in einem richtigen Theater mit etwa 600 Zuschauern. Ich habe an (leider nur) einem Breitensportturnier teilgenommen und wäre prinzipiell auch für Turniertanz offen. D.h. ich bin tänzerisch sehr vielseitig interessiert, es hängt eben auch von der Tanzpartnerin ab.

Ich würde gerne Kizomba und West Coast Swing (WCS) (kennen)lernen.

Offen bin ich auch für Tanz-Festivals, Tango-Marathons, Tanz-Urlaube etc. Mein Traum ist ein Urlaub in Buenos Aires oder auf Kuba.

Ab und zu bin ich zu Besuch in Berlin und gehe auch dort gern tanzen. Ich besuche auch gerne Tanzveranstaltungen in der näheren und weiteren Umgebung, vor allem in der wärmen Jahreszeit Open-Air-Milongas.
