Trained in ballroom rhythm and smooth for 12 years; started Lindy Hop and collegiate shag in 2018, and Balboa in 2021. In addition to progressive courses 3x/week, I enjoy social dancing 2x/week.

I started dancing about 10 years ago learning the basic ballroom styles for social dancing. A few years later, motivated by a friend I decided to give competition a try. I started with pro-am, but then moved on to amateur couple competing. I have competed mostly in American rhythm at the bronze and silver levels.

In addition I also enjoy performance dancing and have worked on both solo and formation routines in a variety of styles from samba to west coast swing to bolero.

I am an easy to get along with, and very understanding. I can compromise with other ideas. I'm very social. I love to dance.

I was an amateur international latin finalist in the California Open, Emerald ball, Desert Classic, Embassy, Ohio, USDC, and Holiday Classic in 2014. Currently, I am doing American smooth and international standards. I would like to have a partner to grow skills with while enjoying dancing together . I am Open-Gold in Latin, Gold in Intel's standard, Silver in American Smooth. Open to all the three styles with the right partner.

Hello I don't have any dance pictures but I am a trained professional. I have not dance professional, socially or been in the dance scene for a hot minute. I want to start practicing all the major dances ballroom and Latin. I'm interested in salsa, performance group performances collaboration. I would even consider competing down the road. I have alot of dance knowledge and decent technique.

Dancing and music has always been a love and a huge part of my life.

I took dance during high school and into college. Typical dance studio dancing during high school and then part of a dance team in college. I started Ballroom/ Latin dance classes around 2020 and fell in love!

I have participated in one competition and done a few spotlight dances at some of the events at my current Ballroom studio.

I take classes 3 nights a week and I am willing to add as much dance time in as possible to get better.

My goals are to be able to continue learning and getting involved in more competitions.

Into college, I was a competitive gymnast, which helped me to develop body awareness and body confidence. After gymnastics, I danced with an contact improv/improvisational dance group and did authentic movement for 10-15 years.

I started ballroom dance lessons last fall (2022). Since I love to dance and am comfortable in my body, I am a quick study, picking up new movement languages fairly quickly. While my main focus is Argentine Tango, I am enjoying the Waltz, American Tango, Foxtrot, Rumba, Cha Cha, Salsa and East Coast Swing with a little Salsa thrown in for fun.

Recently, I learned and performed (bronze level with some silver patterns) Argentine tango within 6-7 weeks of starting lessons. I am looking forward to competiting in May.

Latin social dancing 2 to 3 days a week. Includes Salsa, Bachata, cha-cha, merengue, Cumbia.

I'm serious about getting good at Argentine Tango, and I'm seeking a like minded practice partner. I take multiple private lessons weekly, plus classes and workshops. I'm very inventive with new steps, and I move well.

I'm good at helping partners become better dancers. Partners tell me they get more out of practicing with me than taking lots of classes. Practice, practice, practice - that's the way to get good!

I have many tango instructional DVDs to study from in order to get details that often get missed in classes, as well as much material from ongoing workshops with top tango dancers.

I have a great space to practice in Park Slope, with gorgeous oak floors and mirrors.

Other stuff: I am a financially stable entrepreneur, college educated, hyper-cultured, dyed in the wool New Yorker who has traveled to over a dozen countries. I sing and play musical instruments. I am high tech, but also high touch. I am not a kook, a flake, or a crazy person. I adore Bach and the B52s. I believe that boredom is mostly a function of lack of imagination. I don't understand how people have time for television. :)

I danced in college, competed Silver in American Smooth and Rhythm. I unfortunately had to take an unexpected hiatus for a while, ending my time on the collegiate circuit :(. I also taught ballroom at a local NH studio from 2016-2019, but it was mostly beginners (wedding couples) and some basics of social styles (salsa, swing, etc). I'm hoping to get back to ballroom training regularly. I also want to learn and compete in Latin! I am technique focused and a quick learner!
