just recently started dancing

I recently moved to Charlotte from Michigan and am looking for a dance partner to go out dancing with 1-3 nights a week. I started dancing in 2002 and danced regularly, even competed in Las Vegas once. I started a social club and travel business in 2009. The demands of the businesses kept me from dancing on a regular basis, so I haven't practiced much until recently. I've gotten back into it since I moved to Charlotte and now dance regularly again.

I love to dance especially West Coast Swing. I have been taking private lessons and looking for others who share my passion for it. I also enjoy salsa, cha cha, hustle, east coast swing.

I started my ballroom dance hobby/passion about 20 years ago with LOTS of group lessons and then in about 2009 got into private lessons for the first time. I took the lessons for a year and a half and during that time did 2 studio showcases and 2 pro-am competitions. Over the last about 10 years I have been in and out (unfortunately) of private lessons, although recently was able to take some private lessons consistently and do another pro-am competition.

I have also had the opportunity to take private lessons with an amateur partner as we prepared to compete. Because of relocating I had to stop that endeavor.

I am now situated over in the Clearwater/St Pete area and thought I'd explore this dance partner website again.

Anyways, I LOVE TO DANCE and would love to practice with a partner with similar interests, ability, and goals.

I started latin & ballroom dancing a year ago at university. I have participated in about 4 beginner inter-varsity competitions in the UK, was finalist for one.

Learning to dancing for fitness and fun. I have been taking one on one lessons. I started out learning Merengue, Bachata and Rumba. Recently started learning the Hustle and Tango.

I've been dancing and learn one style or other of partner dancing since my senior year of high school. To me, dance is joy, fun, and exercise! I dance for fellowship and fun not really into competition though I have on occasion been encourage to do it as well as teach. I enjoy learning and dancing an extremely wide variety of styles though more proficient in some than other based on regularity of doing that style. Previous style in years past include Polka, Waltz, Rumba, Foxtrot, and Argentine Tango. Recent years (before corona) I've been regular doing Latin dances of Bachata, Salsa, Meringue, and Cha Cha; east coast swing dances of Jitterbug, Lindy, and Lindy Hop. I've spent a little over one year learning the different style of Blue dance style.

I am a dance teacher of American Ballroom, Smooth, and Rhythm dances. I've been doing that for over a decade and love it! I'm interested in finding someone that shares this love of dancing, and wants to go out ballroom dancing socially. If I forgot to mention anything about myself, please feel free to ask.

I’m taking lessons at Fred Astair, doing shows, competitions, and practices in various ball room dances. Like Argentina tango, ch ch cha, waltz. Also learning bachata, samba, and Salsa. Interested in Flamingo too.

I am a professional adagio dancer (adagio is a specialty act think Torville and dean with out the ice skates and higher and spectacular lifts. blend of gymnastics/dance/ballet/acrobatic) I work on cruise ships world wide, corporate shows and festivals so far in the US,Australia,China, India, Singapore, Japan.

I have danced tango for 10 years studied with many teachers and many private lessons and done a lot of tango training (practise over the years) have had a break for a few years. Just need to practise a bit to get back into it and have done ballroom dancing, salsa, bellydance, creative dance and 5 rhythms and I have been dancing most of my life. I'm into yoga, walking, fitness and a healthy lifestyle.

I am motivated, positive and with a great outlook on life. There are so many things I still want to do with my life! I would describe my self as affectionate, careful, easy-going, intellectual, logical, meticulous, outgoing, and practical. I make great efforts to learn and improve my dancing but am forgiving of myself and my partners as we progress. Dance for exercise, fun, and social environment. I began my performance career as a singer and performer of opera and musical theater. Unfortunately, in my last semester of college I sustained a voice injury that prevented me from continuing to pursue singing professionally. Because I had extensive training in musical theater and dance, making the transition to ballroom was fairly smooth. I have always been completely devoted to becoming successful in anything I do, and since dancing is my passion I intend on reaching the highest level with a partner equally as determined. I take coachings regularly in standard, and can provide videos of my dancing if requested. I have been told I am at high level, especially given how long I've been dancing.

I have been dancing for over a year and am moving into open as of January 2023.

I plan to specialize in international styles and would like a motivated amateur partner willing to go professional in both international and American styles.

I train in the gym 3 days/week and dance 10+ hours/week in the studio.

UPDATE: The past 1.5yrs has been devoted to Argentine Tango. I love it!

Dancing is my passion and I strive to express that passion in my dancing. I like all the dances but focus on International Standard. I enjoy WCS and Argentine Tango as time permits. I social dance now but prefer to have one partner so we can focus on improvement.

My goal is continued development of dance knowledge, skill and presentation. With a suitable partner, this will happen sooner. I'm easy to get along with and I like people. Alex Koulick recently became my dance teacher. I work during business hours and dance in the evenings and on weekends.

I used to be a competitive ballroom dancer (International Standard, International Latin) around 20 years ago. Now getting back into dancing + learning Salsa.

I moved to CA from WI in 2002 order to be closer to my Standard coaches, Victor and Heather Veyrasset, and am currently being coached primarily by Victor. In terms of dance, my passion is clearly Standard, but sometimes I also play around with some other stuff just for fun socially: some Latin, ECS, WCS, Salsa, Hustle, NC2S, etc. I am interested in having a partner who is either a pro or an amateur; I just want to dance and experience the intrinsic bliss of masculinity, femininity, musicality, and movement entering into a blissfully resonating oneness. I am open to competing Rising Star or to having an amateur partner and competing pro/am with her. I am also open to not competing at all and just practicing and dancing socially together or in shows, though I would prefer someone who wants to be serious enough to work toward mastering standard and maximizing both beautiful and blissful movement.
