I am an intermediate Salsa & Bachata dancer. I attend social dancing twice a week and one private instructore class once a week.

My background started when I took gymnastics for 6 years. Then I took a Congo class in 4th grade. group in San diego really start ballroom until college, where Over 3 years I leaned the basics of many dances. I also took ballet for a year and some months, tap one semester and jazz one semester. After I graduated I got married and had my husband take a latin dance class for a semester, as well as learning Argentine Tango. I divorced and took a few random dances at the community center in Oakland. After a few years of moving to Virginia, I was asked to audition for Ferocity Dance Company and Was put in on the amateur team, competitive. From that day i got really into dancing for a year, taking Bollywood, Bachata (like sensual and dominican most), Salsa on 1 and 2 with ladies styling footwork workshops. I didnt make the advanced Lindy hop team but Im intermediate wanting to learn aerials. I also want to learn aerials for salsa also. I also committed myself to flamenco every week, did some more Argentine Tango classes and had a private ballroom instructor named Uttara at Dance with Penache working mostly on Rumba American- Smooth, Cha-Cha, and Salsa where we learned almost all the bronze moves.

Now I have been in reno for a couple months. I have been learning virtually with Cecilia Villalobos (aka DC Salsa Queen) we are learning Afro-Cuban movements, Rhumba Yambu, Salsa on 1, and dominican bachata. I am interested to learn the Samba and Jive. I am looking for someone close as I do not own a car. I think Reno radius of about 1 hour (by car or by flight) would be great for at least 4 hour sessions once a week if u

I took two years of salsa lessons at SCC about 20 years ago. I loved it and want to get back into it. Some might call this a midlife crisis. I have a good sense of humor and enjoy life to the fullest. I’d like to practice and get dressed up to dance in clubs.

Took private and group lessons on and off for 7 years, did performances (rumba, foxtrot, samba, cha-cha, East Coast swing)at studios where I took lessons. Have not danced much for the past few since I went back to school (nursing) and moved to Portland. Would like to find a regular partner to dance with socially. Love salsa, rumba, cha-cha, samba (want to learn more Brazilian), foxtrot, swing. I'm a good follower. Learned to dance in - and lived - in New York. Other things I love doing-- photography, architecture, animals (especially dogs),learn languages, travel, listening to jazz/swing, world music.

I largely dance modern jive and west coast swing but I'm quite happy to pick up other forms of dancing (I've dabbled with a bit of Salsa, rock a roll - and the tiniest bit of Lindy). I'm quite happy to attend ballroom and Latin classes to broaden my horizons. I've competed a few times in the past with ex dance partners and I would like to progress much further with my dancing, hopefully moving into teaching. I've danced in a fair few areas including s wales, suffolk, further north and I currently live in Bedford

In regard to a dance partner I don't mind which gender I have for lead or follow as long as we dance well together. .

I am a Caucasian, heterosexual male who is in great physical condition and who loves to dance. I have been in the Baltimore area for about two years now and am enjoying the diversity of dance studios and skill levels.

My primary interest is in the Latin category and my best dances are the mambo, rumba, cha-cha, and merengue. I still need a lot more polishing in the bolero and samba. I am also very interested in International rumba and cha-cha. The salsa and bachata are of some interest to me, but not predominantly. I also am very proficient at the lambada, if and when the music is played at social events (which is not too common).

The Argentine tango is my weakest dance but one that I crave to master until I reach a very high level of expertise.

My background in dance is fairly diverse. Over the years I have had training in modern dance (Humphrey-Weidman technique), jazz, Irish clogging, and even a few semesters of ballet. All of these forms of dance have taught much in way of balance, sense of space, and how to ease the transition from one movement to another.

I am a fan of live music at out-of-the-way honky-tonks around Central Texas. I have taken quite a few dance lessons over the years. But I prefer the relaxed style of social dancing that I find in dance halls over more formal studio dancing. I have had many dance partners tell me I am a wonderful dancer and I’ve had a few who felt I wasn’t up to their standards. Just ask me to dance and let’s see what happens. As for me, the only bad dances are the ones I miss.

I have second gold bar in Standard/Ballroom and Latin. I have not danced for a year now, as my previous partner had to stop on health grounds, so I am a bit rusty. I would love to get into it again though. I would be happy to take lessons jointly if that interested you, as well as to go dancing socially.

Have danced all my life most genres. Now widowed and dancing regularly at local classes and dances.

I prefer dancing standard, but am adequately versed in the bronze syllabus. I danced competitively in 2013 and have been dancing socially since then. I'd really like to get back into competing, but moreso I'd like to find a partner and get better.

I have had training from several top professionals. My background also includes training, performance, choreography, and teaching of jazz, tap, ballet, character, and modern dance--all of which I feel have enhanced my abilities in latin and ballroom dance. My goal is to compete professionally in International Latin, Standard, and/or 10-dance.

I always loved dance, but stopped at a young age under the wishes of my parents. After a decade of loving dance from the sidelines, I'd like to pursue ballroom dancing. As cheesy as it sounds, dancing makes me feel alive in a way few other things can. When everything is grey and blurry, dance briefly sharpens my world.

My situation's a little weird. I love all kinds of dancing, but I started very late, maybe 14 or 15. I'm only starting to take it really seriously now, at 18. At this point, I don't know how practical it is to aspire to great heights, but dancing is a real passion of mine and I'm not willing to give it up yet. I've had a couple teachers tell me that I have SOMETHING for dance, something that draws people's eyes or that captures the story of a dance. My main ballroom teacher (who is insanely good, like Blackpool levels of good, I don't know what he's doing in this small town) stopped me the other day and told me that I should go professional, and that if I don't it would be "wasted talent." God, I don't know how to describe how much that meant to me.

I'm not sure what my final aspirations are. As grateful as I am to my teacher for encouraging my potential, I'm not sure if a simple gift and passion for dancing can overcome years of lost training. But I'm not giving up just yet. I'll be a student at NYU, and I want to make dance one of my top priorities during my years of study there.

Competed in international Standard and Latin for 11 years as an Amateur many years ago and would like to get back into it. I really appreciate the beauty of good technique. I also dance West Coast Swing socially.
