Getting back into dancing after years away. Was dancing at a silver level, obviously a bit rusty.

I enjoy dancing and meeting people. My goal is to improve and advance my skills in ballroom. Also, I would enjoy adding other types of dancing as well.

I've been dancing in total for almost 23 years. I was a Ballerina for 16 years, acrobat/contortionist for 8, and then switched to ballroom 7 years ago. In this time I've competed American Rhythm, I'm also willing to switch to Latin and would also be interested in Theatre arts. I'm looking for a hard working partner to compete with who is based in the US.

I was obsessed about a decade ago and recently came back and the teacher moved me to intermediate after a month. Its amazing how much I remember. Ive been told I am a quick learner and a food follower. I attend 2 classes weekly and dance socials at least 2x a month. I would love to have someone to practice with and hone my skills and keep progressing.

Through some difficult and painful life lessons I am preparing to be better at life as a whole and I feel like a champion when I practice dancing(even though I haven't arrived at any medals, etc. yet). My desires are to learn to love all people, to get up after falling and hopefully learn from those experience(s) and finally to improve on the best I can be, while hopefully learning to listen to the genuine wisdom of others to blend with my own to build a better life.

To keep it short I have many interests and yes, I am willing to adapt to new ones within reason....except hard rock and heavy rap music. I am generally a quiet guy but in the right atmosphere can be quite lively and entertaining.

Another thing that I forgot to mention is that I am learning not just to enjoy events, outings, just being quiet, fun times, etc..........but, the most important point is that I am learning to treasure each moment that I am with that special someone and not take time and life and her for granted. ...... .... There is a saying that I learned sometime ago: "The only moment that we have is the moment that we are in" so, "What existed a moment ago has gone" and "will we be here in a moment from now?" Have you ever heard of the song "Love is a wonderful thing" an upbeat song sung by Michael Bolton? Love can be a super wonderful thing!...unless things get messed up then, it's very painful until healing takes place and all is sorted out.....Just some deep thoughts I wanted to share and hopefully help you out. Gold level on International Latin and American rhythm BUT DANCE MOSTLY INTERNATIONAL LATIN NOW.

Advance level in Salsa and Bachatta AND STILL DANCE IT EVERY WEEK.

I took ballroom lesson for my PE courses in college, but I really started to get serious about dancing in 2008. I prefer to get as much floor time as possible, so I rarely sit out a dance. I am passionate about learning more styles and routines. I currently take 6 to 8 hours of private lessons per week, and this can become more when I am working on competition or showcase dances. Generally, my goal is to dance social ballroom or c/w or swing or salsa every weekend as I bring all of my dances to a competitive level. I now compete in ballroom and C/W. I am at the stage where I am in need of a dance partner who can continue this progress and level of dance of fun with me, and who also has a passion for dancing. To me dancing is just about the ultimate sensual experience that two people can have while being in sync with music. This last year, I have narrowed the focus of my passions, namely: work; learning to dance with grace, finesse, technique, and passion; learning more martial arts forms; learning to play the piano; and enjoying travel. Dancing fits in very well with this focus of mine. I am looking for someone to practice with; who loves dancing, and is looking to have some serious fun, while we work together in perfecting our dance steps, technique, and trying out new moves. I mainly dance for fun but I am working on technique and styling in order to dance at higher competitive levels. My dancing really accelerated this year with excellent pro's for instructors and coaching. I'm competing in 2 step, cha, nc-2, wcs, ecs, triple 2, and waltz; and American Tango, and rumba. I am just about to take Argentine dance lessons (January 2026). I hope to be able to have the opportunity to dance outside of classes.

I took both some basic salsa and West Coast swing dance lessons around 2010. Do not remember much from them but am willing to practice with someone who wants to have fun dancing but has patience. I am hoping to take again lessons in at least one of these styles sometime this year (2026).

If I am able to find a good dance connection, I am no open you other styles as well.

As I like and learn a style, I am willing to spend more time practicing.

I am open to establishing a connection even if circumstances mean we might not dance together for a while.

I trained in dance and free skating and ice dancing throughout childhood and my 20s. I have always done some sort of movement or dance throughout my life. In 2005 I got into social dancing and Argentine Tango. In 2021 I started lessons to learn all of the dances and am now going to compete in UCWDC

In 2024, created and performed live event “Voiceless” using cabaret dance, theatre and song. See photos. Competed at the Ohio Star Ball November 2024 winning Best of the Best in cabaret. I love all genres of music including country western from my roots in Kansas.

I have been dancing and singing musical theater for many years. I have also been involved in something called contact improvisation. I am extremely eager to find a regular committed dance partner so that I can become proficient and have wonderful experiences with Latin and ballroom dancing on a regular basis.

Proficiency level of my dance partner doesn't matter, beginners are welcome. I tried changing the selection to "I don't care" but can't get the choice to make it into my profile. Dance skills 5, computer skills 0!
