Reliable, easy going, enthusiastic dancer

With thirteen years of dance experience, I truly enjoy social dancing and I'm proficient in most ballroom dances.

I have been dancing at a studio for past 3 1/2 years. I have performed several choreographed showcases and am comfortable with Bronze-Silver level syllabus patterns. I have performed 4 of these showcases at competitions as well as competed in the Am level in smooth, rhythm, and latin. I have come to love dancing both competitively and socially. I am proficient in smooth, rhythm, latin, swing, tango and salsa.

Years ago no one could tell me how to dance, where to put your feet, etc. They would just say "go out there and just move around". Well that wasn't good enough for me. Over the years of seeking out classes, learning from anyone with the patience to show me steps, I am now teaching others to dance in my spare time. Waltz, Cha Cha, Two Step, Foxtrot, Texas two step, Swing, Line dancing, etc. It is a great feeling to get out on the floor and dance!!! I also enjoy the outdoors, a do-it-yourselfer home maintenance, cars, trucks and motorcycles. No smoking, no drinking, no drugs. Sing in a church choir. Part time Paramedic on an ambulance service and a volunteer fireman, however, I have cut back because I am currently attending graduate school pursuing a Masters degree. I will be graduating in 2012. My outlook on life is always positive and even if I get knocked down I bounce back and keep going. Enjoys dancing, outdoors, long walks in the woods, exciting times, quiet times, going places, attends church, willing to go to and try new and different things, likes to travel. An evening walk by moon light around the farm is especially enjoyable with a friend to observe the stars.

Hi - I started dancing classes in January 2018 for a few terms, and post Covid I started again in 2020 - but its been somewhat sporadic, due to the need to find a dance partner and fit in classes.

I am a beginner looking to learn a range of dance styles - ballroom and Latin - and have fun learning.

I am happily married - but my wife isn’t interested in dancing, hence the search for a dance partner.

I have over 30 years experience of ballroom and Latin dancing. Back in the late 1990s I did compete in a few competitions and we did quite well. Our dance teacher then died and we stopped. My last dance partner has now entered a serious relationship with someone and is not free to go dancing.

Primarily, a dancer of Argentine Tango and seeking a practice partner. I have experience in the social context of dancing in South America, Europe, and throughout the United States. I also have experience in many classes including those designed to train teachers of Argentine Tango. Expertise in a partner is note required, simply that we practice and learn together - from each other even if you are a beginner.

Started Swing (Modern Lindy Hop) in 2000. Inspired by Frankie Manning. Started Mambo (Triple Mambo) a few years later. Also dance Blues and Waltz.

I taught classes in Modern Lindy Hop for several years.

I dance in the styles as these dances came out of Harlem in the 40s. Preserving the history and spreading the knowledge and joy of 1940s' Rhythm Dance is a passion.

I taught approx 300 classes and courses. Organized 250+ dances. Served on the staff of 5 American Lindy Hop Championships. Formerly the founder/director of the Swing Dance Community Chapter serving Fairfield, Westchester and later, Putnam.

I would classify myself as a professional social dancer. I've never been in it to make money. Always kept fees as low as I could manage.

I always included teaching the history of the music and dance in my classes. Including how society as well as music and dance was forever changed by Swing.

I am currently at a beginner bronze level in the Arthur Murray syllabus in American smooth and rhythm. I have competed at several Arthur Murray events including two dance o ramas. I am interested in continuing the American styles along with learning international as well. I would also like to expand my skills to west coast swing, argentine tango, and zouk. I started taking weekly bachata and salsa dance since August and have started attending social events twice a month. I practice by myself several times a week; but, it doesn't translate well without a partner.

have private lessons in Ballroom and Latin , as have no partner. Have attempted Argentine Tango, but think i need a very patient partner, or is it just difficult ????

I started dancing about 15 years ago. I was never in full “serious mode” — for me, dance has always been about enjoying the rhythm, having fun, and sharing a good vibe.

It’s mainly a hobby for now, but with the right partner… who knows? I’d be open to exploring even a competition path together.

I have been dancing socially for 10 years - contra, square, contra waltz, and occasionally other folk dances. I dance about once a month, and attend several weekend events per year with more advanced dances and workshops.

Hello! I've been dancing Ballroom for 2 years, both ballroom and latin. My goal is to start competing soon but before that I am trying to find a dance partner. I live in the south of Sweden, in Skåne. I am hoping to be able to practice atheist 2 days a week but that could also change to more.

I danced a lot in what seems like a prior life and some socially since that time. I have improved since dancing 10 to 15 hours per week. The more I dance, the more I realize how much I need to learn! I am much improved and I have enjoyed meeting many people and dancing. The first time I was asked to dance was a milestone for me.
