Started Swing (Modern Lindy Hop) in 2000. Inspired by Frankie Manning. Started Mambo (Triple Mambo) a few years later. Also dance Blues and Waltz.

I taught classes in Modern Lindy Hop for several years.

I dance in the styles as these dances came out of Harlem in the 40s. Preserving the history and spreading the knowledge and joy of 1940s' Rhythm Dance is a passion.

I am a strong yet conscientious lead. Strong on technique.

In my teaching years I was a noted Lindy technique instructor in the Swing Dance Community.

I taught approx 300 classes and courses. Organized 250+ dances. Served on the staff of 5 American Lindy Hop Championships. Formerly the founder/director of the Swing Dance Community Chapter serving Fairfield, Westchester and later, Putnam.

I would classify myself as a professional social dancer. I've never been in it to make money. Always kept fees as low as I could manage.

I always included teaching the history of the music and dance in my classes. Including how society as well as music and dance was forever changed by Swing.

Wanting to dance more socially, improve my skills and potentially compete if the opportunity arose. I'm a little bit different in the fact that I'm legally blind. Regardless of this, I'm quite a competent dancer and a fast learner.

I have been dancing for about 14 years. I want to compete either international or American style. I can do it all at the open level.I learn quickly and work hard. I just love dancing! I love competing. I would love the opportunity to improve with a partner wanting to compete pre-championship level. If you would like someone to grow with in your dancing, I'm the one for you. I've loved to dance since grade school yet never had any formal lessons till recently; so most of my prior dancing experience is free-form salsa and swing with partners. I have a good sense of rhythm and timing and love music of all types and am an amateur drummer and especially enjoy watching and dancing to good musicians/bands play live. My profession and business was engineering from which I have retired. I've been fortunate to have experienced travel in Europe, South and Central America, China and Egypt. Used to dance 7 nights a week in Spain, covid brought me to the United States. I've been out of the dance world for too long, need to get back into it. I used to be on a bachata performance team, but covid...

Been partnerless for a little bit now. First, due to life stuff, and now due to COVID stuff.
