My 4 year dance partnership has just come to an end and I am looking for a new amateur partner to take lessons with, practice and possibly compete. My last competitions were in American Smooth at Gold level. I've been taking dance lessons for about 6 years now and would like to keep improving my technique and performance skills, learn more difficult routines and styling. I am a quick learner and a good follower, and I have a great musicality and sense of rhythm. We can dance anywhere in NoVa or MD/DC area.

On a personal note - I am well-travelled, educated, flexible and easy to get along with.

I have a deep passion for dance and was born to dance, embody and express emotion to heal the soul. I been dancing since age 2 - ballet, jazz, tap, contemporary, hip hop. Got into swing 25 years ago and salsa about 20 years ago. I used to teach Zumba and pick up styles really quickly as well as have a natural ability to follow so anything I am not yet proficient at will take no time at all. I would dance all day and all night if I could! My goals are to dance like Brenda & Anderson who run Zouk Embodiment retreats. I am open to whatever the universe intends for me through the right partnership.

I competed for many years in International Standard. My former partner recently decided to retire from practicing or competing in Standard and I'm looking for a new partner for practice and, perhaps, competition.

I have been dancing for about two years and can follow a lead, which i prefer over a choreographed routine. My absolute favorite dances are Salsa, Waltz and Two-Step, but really, I love all dancing and am happy to work on anything. Hi - I started dancing classes in January 2018 for a few terms, and post Covid I started again in 2020 - but its been somewhat sporadic, due to the need to find a dance partner and fit in classes.

I am a beginner looking to learn a range of dance styles - ballroom and Latin - and have fun learning.

I am happily married - but my wife isn’t interested in dancing, hence the search for a dance partner.

I am Hard working, dedicated, caring, delightful, goal oriented. I am Turning 58, but have Aged reversed to 31 years old currently by implementing strategies of turning back the clock. My Home is in Orlando area, FL, but I am on the beach a lot and may relocate to beach front in Florida in the near future. I visit Fairfax Virginia to see my parents and I travel to various cities frequently. Wherever I am, I work, cook, exercises, and spend a lot of time train/dance in studios, gym and in the house. I love to compete because competitions always give me immediate, mid-term and long-term goals to train and to practice. Goals are one of those things that I rely on to work really hard and to keep focus on. I truly enjoy practicing and social dance too. I get excited about show case, because of the intimacy of the smaller venue and familiarity with everyone at the venue. I can NOT wait for the pandemic be over so we can all go out dance like before. Currently I train at home or at the locations wherever I travel to. I am getting a portable ballet barre, which will make training more complete. I hope you have been doing well and also are staying excited about the time when our Dancing is back!

Update: 2023 I am now competing in Scholarship and made my first trip to Blackpool in May of this year where we placed 3rd in the ProAm in International Standard Ballroom. It was an amazing experience and look forward to going back again next year.

Looking for an Amateur competition partner interested in competing, able to put in the practice time and travel. Focus at the moment is International Standard, followed by American Smooth and American Rhythm.

Once I started, I got hooked and fell in love with Ballroom. I study at Arthur Murray and attend private lessons 5x per week and various group classes. I also for fun go out dancing Ballroom, Salsa and Argentine Tango socially.

Like many things I have pursued in life, I work at it diligently to perfect techniques and form as I strive to do my best at anything I do. I entered ProAM and Amateur competitions and rapidly moved through from Newcomer, Associate Bronze and into Full Bronze, and now Silver and Gold divisions winning my events, Solos and All Arounds locally, at the Championships and over in Prague. I dance in all majors in American Smooth, Rhythm and Waltz and Quickstep in International Standard. I have some specialty dances as well including Argentine Tango.

I thoroughly enjoy learning new dances and figures, competing and dancing socially. While I work hard and dance like I mean it, I dance with all levels of partners when at events or social outings from complete beginners to Pros. I always dance with my partner, lead and each do our part and try to make each dance an enjoyable experience. This keeps things light and fun!

I am primarily a dancer in American Smooth and have competed in 2 competitions in the bronze level. I am looking to continue in advancing in smooth but also get practicing in Standard and Intl. Latin. But the main focus in Standard and American Smooth.

I love to dance! My favorite dance is West Coast Swing! Have danced freestyle all my life. As for the number of years of experience ballroom/swing dancing that's actually hard to say. Over the years I've followed and learned a lot of dances by just going out dancing. I took a college course in social dancing. Learn a lot...forgot a lot. :) I'm a fast learner who is motivated to have fun while doing the dance right.

I’ve been dancing Salsa / Bachata regularly for the past several years, having taken a plethora of lessons. More recently, I've been doing a lot of West Coast Swing. It would be nice to find a partner with similar interests and experience.

I danced a bit of hip hop growing up and was always surrounded by dancers. But it wasnt till 5 years ago that a friend showed me a basic rumba step and i was hooked i have been dancing on and off since then.

I had the privilege of performing this year and loved it. My goal in the next 2 years is to get paid to perform on stage and for that i need to practice. I love fusion partner dance and im particularly drawn to to micro movements of kisomba and the footwork of salsa. Of this list i am most experienced in bachata salsa and kisomba. I would love to set a goal with you and work towards it

I was a professional ballet dancer for several years, and when I "retired" due to an injury, I began ballroom dancing around 2012. For the past several years I have been competing pro-am smooth at open level, a few competitions per year. (I also did Latin and standard many years ago and would be interested in picking them back up, especially standard.) I currently dance at Ballroom Village in Loudon County, VA and have done coachings through that studio and through dance camps across the country.

I have a very good ability to dance and was introduced to WCS about 4 years ago and am fascinated with it. I am to the point where I am starting to play and interpret the music through the dance. I have lots of style and have put that style on the shelf as I learn the basics. I like to practice something until it's really solid. I have been practicing both follow and lead. I turn well and will be learning spinning. I do not do any dips, but would like to learn. I'm spry, and love, love, love this dance!

2025 trained in Taiwan under FeiFei Hsieh & Hsin-Da Lee. Regular practices with Gift Phoraksacharoen in Bangkok. Trained with w/ Jairelbhi Furlong (Google "Evolution Tango") in Dallas till April to Nov 2021. Past training: Boulder CO with Gustavo Naveira & Giselle Anne; 40 hours & 420 hours practice during Fall 2019 including group classes over previous years from them in Boulder, Colorado. Trained in Dallas w/ Jairelbhi Furlong (90%) & Nasrin Barmaki (10%) in 2018 & 2019 for 12 months over two years; over 200 hours of instruction and 300 hours practice time during that time period. Recreational dancing not included. Lessons in West Coast Swing and Hustle under Beata Howe in 2019. More than 20 years dancing: Salsa, West Coast Swing, Two Step (as is judged at a UCWDC event). None of the hours listed above are group classes. Other past instruction is from Mary Ann Nunez and Jeannie Tucker.

I have been dancing for the past 10-years, focusing on latin and west coast swing. I am athletically gifted and have had some private lessons but I still have much to learn. When I dance I experience pure joy. I have danced for fun and the social aspects not for competition although I could see maybe participating in Pro-Am's in the future. Dance is an important of my life and so I want someone who shares this same interest with me.

Over the years created a system of teaching the major ballroom dances by interrelating steps of dances to make easy learning.Then adding personal style to ones dancing.Still work with small groups,but mostly retired from full time teaching.I have fun dancing and meeting people.Some travel,getting back to going to dance events.I will help judge sometimes but not as much anymore.I have never stopped learning new techniques and truly believe dancing keeps you young and healthy.

I can waltz, cha cha, tango and quick step and very keen to learn more and improve.... strictly salsa is great but I really prefer bachata… it’s so much more fun and practically goes with any tune… so my inhouse walking tends to be bachata steps 😂 😂 crazy hah! 😂
