I have coaches in Vancouver, BC - Dale Neale for American Smooth and Vlada and Alexey Karaulov for Latin. Goals are to compete in Canada and US NDCA/NDCC sanctioned events, at least 2 per year.

Through some difficult and painful life lessons I am preparing to be better at life as a whole and I feel like a champion when I practice dancing(even though I haven't arrived at any medals, etc. yet). My desires are to learn to love all people, to get up after falling and hopefully learn from those experience(s) and finally to improve on the best I can be, while hopefully learning to listen to the genuine wisdom of others to blend with my own to build a better life.

To keep it short I have many interests and yes, I am willing to adapt to new ones within reason....except hard rock and heavy rap music. I am generally a quiet guy but in the right atmosphere can be quite lively and entertaining.

Another thing that I forgot to mention is that I am learning not just to enjoy events, outings, just being quiet, fun times, etc..........but, the most important point is that I am learning to treasure each moment that I am with that special someone and not take time and life and her for granted. ...... .... There is a saying that I learned sometime ago: "The only moment that we have is the moment that we are in" so, "What existed a moment ago has gone" and "will we be here in a moment from now?" Have you ever heard of the song "Love is a wonderful thing" an upbeat song sung by Michael Bolton? Love can be a super wonderful thing!...unless things get messed up then, it's very painful until healing takes place and all is sorted out.....Just some deep thoughts I wanted to share and hopefully help you out. My dance background began as an adult. I play in a big band and enjoy watching the crowd dance so I decided to learn! I have a weekly private lesson at a studio and a weekly pilates mat class to help with all of the core & back strength necessary to hold a frame & be graceful.My ranked favorites are Rumba, Waltz, Am. Tango, Bachata, Salsa, Cha-Cha, Foxtrot, Swing. I've had a handful of lessons on Argentine Tango & love it but I didn't add it in the choices because I'm not feeling very confident with it. I'm a patient person, easy to get a long with and lighthearted in lessons. If dance isn't fun why do it?

Started dancing over 30 years ago (ballroom and Latin)

Took private lessons for 7 years to improve technique in ballroom. As much as I love dancing to the highest standard I can, I still believe it should be fun and I enjoy going to social dances.

I have also done lindyhop, rock n roll and sequence dancing, and would welcome the opportunity of learning new styles of dance with the right partner.

i am looking for a special dance partner that would like to become one of the premier swing dances in Australia. It has been now over 3 years since i have done any serious dancing or coaching, and have decided it its time to get back in the game. I am looking for a swing/balboa/shag dancer or some one that is willing to learn and wants to break a few rules on the way, and put the passion back into the dances that used to be there, and not the sanatised version that every one is doing and being taught out there in swing land.

I am talking about going to the next level of dance, were you extract every bit of passion from the song and make it your own.
