JUST REVISITING MY PROFILE AFTER A 10-YEAR BREAK, SO THE TEXT BELOW AND PHOTOS ARE OUTDATED!!! MY DANCING WOULD BE VERY RUSTY NOW.

Dancing is a passion for me. I took up Ballroom and Latin in 2005 and I began competing at beginners and novice level in 2008. In my first competition I managed to win first place and, although I'll admit that my experience is limited, I've always made the top three.

I haven't danced in a while, but when I was actively pursuing it I went twice-weekly to a school in Wimbledon which offers classes aimed at budding competitors and high-level social dancers. These sessions focused heavily on technique, so you might find that I'm more advanced than my experience suggests. That said, my Ballroom is much stronger than my Latin. To be honest, I'd prefer to skip Latin altogther!

To give you an idea of my outlook, I'd rather dance simple steps with good technique than flashy choreography poorly.

Off the dance floor, I work as an aviation journalist. I'm interested in psychology and would prefer to read than watch TV. I'm confident, intelligent and independent.

Grew up dancing jazz, hip hop and contemporary. Competed in gymnastics from ages 5 to 12. Currently training in American Rhythm.

I love dancing. It's in my blood. I love the feeling of gliding around the floor, regardless of style, feeling the music and trying to put that feeling into my dancing. International, both Standard and Latin are my chosen ways to express myself. Several Championships and Scholarships in the record and always looking for ways to be better.

I was a ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop dancer for almost 8 years. I started Latin ballroom dancing in October 2023. I have been Latin for 8 months. I want to practice every week all my Latin dancing routines. I have achieved up to silver level and I work extremely hard.

I have been dancing modern jive for about 20 years and prior to that have done rock and roll and ballroom dancing. Am reasonably new to Argentine Tango and quite enjoying it. I love to dance and love most forms of dance including ballet and especially improvised dance. I am currently learning The Charlston and Lindy Hop. Would very much welcome the opportunity to perform as well.

Dance always fascinates me and it becomes a part of my life. After having experienced Argentina Tango for six years, I started to learn the International Ballroom (focusing on Standard so far and planning for Latin). Now, I love it more than ever. I am trying my best to make great improvements and to win competitions!

I'm now active in learning American Rythm, American smooth and Latin dances. Having taken classes since Spring, I was invited and agreed to enter the Chicago Harvest Moon Ball Amateur Competition as a newcomer, though I've only been learning some of them for about a month, now. :} Suicide, right? Well, my dance partner and I are coming along. What a great way to get a concentrated education in the basics!

I am currently dancing: East Cost Swing (fairly well, as it's been my main focus), Hustle, Night Club Two Step, Foxtrot, Waltz, Rumba, and Cha Cha, Social Dance in Standale. I started in Lindy and took a break for a bit to concentrate on these others. I'll be back at it, because I intend to accomplish something in that exciting dance!

Since fall of 2019, I have been taking private and group dance coaching in Sarasota, FL. I am looking for a dance partner for theatrical/cabaret/show dancing. I have a dream and a plan to perform partner dancing with lifts and tricks...creating a platform and sharing a message of freedom and passion, starting locally and then around the country and world. In 2024, created and performed live event “Voiceless” using cabaret dance, theatre and song. See photos. Competed at the Ohio Star Ball November 2024 winning Best of the Best in cabaret. I love all genres of music including country western from my roots in Kansas.

I love to perform with variety of character and genre/style. I am not truly ballroom because I am out-of-the-box and more free-spirited in my approach and style. While I want my technique to be flawless, I value soul and passion and sharing true personality and character the most.
