Hi, I want to start dancing again to get fit (I'm a few years out of practice).

I AM IN GREAT SHAPE - VERY TONED - Extensive training in Internationl Latin and International Standard.. Me -- Very HARD WORKER, VERY DISCIPLINED.....Love working on improving the "Dance".

I have competed in some large Pro/Am competitions - placed 5th and 6th in a open to the world 10 Dance championship in the 2007 and 08 -

with my amateur partner we placed 1st in Theatre Arts (VW) in the USA Nationals in 2008 We also competed in pre-Champ and championship in the Standard division.

I have studied all 19 dances....(9)(standard and smooth) and (10)rhythmn amd latin. I enjoy it all!

But I do not mind specializing on one style with a partner.

It started in Texas during the. 80s, I learned barroom country two step, then I met a real dancer one night and learned ballroom.

Then during SXSW In Austin Tx in 1995 I heard my first zydeco band.. I have developed a love for zydeco and Cajun music.. the perfect woman will dance in the kitchen with me!

I/'m very passionate about dance and love it with all my heart. In fact ballroom dancing is the greatest passion of my life. I/'m looking forward to participate in different dance performances and compete to win. After seeing a showcase by Bob Powers & Julia Gorchakova and James & Janna Kunitz I/'m more dedicated then ever to take my dancing to the next level. Unfortunately while I have an awsome American style coach there/'s not much as far as Latin so I am forced to go to either the Bay area or LA for my training. I am a dancer and instructor with my own independent company which allows me the flexibility to pursue my dancing. I already attend many local and some national comps with my student.

Have had 2 years of weekly Argentine Tango classes and 3 years of various social (partners) dance classes. I am a nice, refined gentleman of traditional appearance and life style. I know how to treat a lady and pride myself in being patient and kind while dancing..

I taught dancing for Fred Astaire dance studio and Arthur Murray dance studio as a young man. I have taught privately in various clubs and in my sub-division and when my wife was alive we taught onboard cruise ships. We belonged to The River Oaks Dance club, Two Left Feet Dance Club and the Mainland Dance Club and others over the years. These were formal and non-formal Ballroom dance clubs. Without a partner, I have had to leave all but the Mainland Dance Club.

I have danced country-western as the basics are about the same as ballroom dances and there are a lot more C/W dances in this part of town.

I keep in shape and work out three times a week. I also play tennis at the Metropolitan Racket Club 2-3 times a week. I am retired and live alone and my daytime hours and some evening hours are pretty open to learning more dancing.

I enjoy cruises and have about 26 cruises under my belt. I, of course, go mainly for the dancing. Our best friends are also ballroom dancers and we travel together a lot.

Recent college grad who minored in Ballroom Dance. As such, I spent as much time dancing as I could. I was on one of the backup ballroom teams at Brigham Young University. I competed in class syllabus events up through Gold levels, usually placing and often taking one of the top 3 spots, and competed Novice in American Smooth and International Latin. I have had a lot of experience with American style, and above all else I'd say my favorite dance to dance socially is the Nightclub Two-step.

Overall I love to dance. While some people get really competitive and focused I always try to remember to enjoy myself and the moment. Dancing is one of the best parts of my life and I plan to keep dancing as long as I can. Now that I've moved to Indianapolis I should have more time in the evenings to devote to dance and can't wait to get a regular partner again.

Not much to say really. I like to dance. I love to hustle. I lean to hustle in my early years. Every change I get I will hustle. But now I hear music I say to self that is a good hustle song. I like the disco beat and some slow ones too.

I'm new to this site and not sure exactly how people use it. I am specifically interested in meeting people to dance with when I am in a new location (I'm traveling a lot at this point in my life). I've been told I'm a great follower. I've taught social and line dancing as well as aerobics for many years.

I only have the free subscription on this site, which I think prevents me from emailing most people; i.e., if you send me an email, usually I can't reply. So please don't be offended if I don't respond.

Hello, if you've read my stats, then you know I'm very tall. I love to ballroom dance, and have (a long time ago) been a good square dancer. I'm not a paying member here. However if you read close you may be able to pick up a contact method. It would be great to find a dance partner and more once I relocate to OK> david is what many call me. With a middle inital of r and it finishing with vaughan. You can put all that together and go with g mail and a com behind that. It would be great to get a message from you. Tennis is my other favorite thing to do. I used to have a see doo and get to the lake when I can as I also enjoy nearly all water activities. My dream gal would be a taller lady. However if you are even close to 5ft 8in, I would wish an opportunity for us to dance together and maybe more.. I find dancing very romantic and when we flow together, well, it gets me going. In the last year or so, I have not had time to do alot of ballroom dancing beyond beginner level. And I have discovered I've lost some of my steps I once knew. Oh well, I guess that are what lessons are for. I also am interested in round dancing. I may look locally for an instructor. I am caregiver for my 99yo mom in Sacramento. I don't tolerate smoking or drugs. Social drinking is okay, but not while dancing. On my life outside dancing the lady should enjoy holding hands and signs of affection in public. I love to dance. My wife passed a year ago and I am just starting to dance again. I took care of my wife for 12 years and did not dance because I knew this would hurt her. She was an amazing dancer. I have been taking lessons for almost a year, but we danced for over 10 years and I am not a beginner. I am a quick learner because I have done most of the steps before. I love the out door activities during the day time, but the night belong to my partner and dancing
