I've danced to Gold Bar III in fourteen dances...yes , all the Latin dances as well.

I've competed to quite a high standard in athletics in the past so competition dancing doesn't phase me but I'd rather just be competent with a friend, mate or whatever.

Hi, I'm Mark. I'm a 56 year old male 5ft 7, slim build in St Helens, Merseyside.

I have been dancing ballroom/Latin for approximately 7 years and I have competed in 4 seasons of Supadance including the finals at Blackpool and was a finalist in the IDTA medallist competition in Blackpool in 2013.

In 2014, 2015 & up to now in 2016 Supadance comps I reached the finals in most, if not all, our comps and achieved 1st to 3rd in a many of these.

All in all, with classes, practice, a weekly private lesson, social etc, I dance on average 5-6 times a week.

I am looking for a keen and committed female partner (height between around 5ft 4 & 5ft 7 (with shoes)), preferably for competitions and also for social/practice and private lessons etc, who can commit to at least 3 to 4 times per week.

I am of course prepared to travel to your school/area/other venues and, obviously, hope that you would equally be prepared to travel to mine too.

Beginning dance like rumba

I am high level International Ballroom and Latin dancer with great experience.I also dance New Vouge.I am tall in very good physical conditions.I am living in very beautiful area in New Zealand with great opportunity for dancing.

I took ballroom lesson for my PE courses in college, but I really started to get serious about dancing in 2008. I prefer to get as much floor time as possible, so I rarely sit out a dance. I am passionate about learning more styles and routines. I currently take 6 to 8 hours of private lessons per week, and this can become more when I am working on competition or showcase dances. Generally, my goal is to dance social ballroom or c/w or swing or salsa every weekend as I bring all of my dances to a competitive level. I now compete in ballroom and C/W. I am at the stage where I am in need of a dance partner who can continue this progress and level of dance of fun with me, and who also has a passion for dancing. To me dancing is just about the ultimate sensual experience that two people can have while being in sync with music. This last year, I have narrowed the focus of my passions, namely: work; learning to dance with grace, finesse, technique, and passion; learning more martial arts forms; learning to play the piano; and enjoying travel. Dancing fits in very well with this focus of mine. I am looking for someone to practice with; who loves dancing, and is looking to have some serious fun, while we work together in perfecting our dance steps, technique, and trying out new moves. Hello, I have been dancing both competitively and socially and would consider myself an advance amature. Although it is soemthing I do for fun I do take it very seriously and value the hard work it takes to improve. I am fortunate that my work exposes me to some of the best dancers in the Ballroom, Swing, and Hustle world. The inspiration I draw from these dancers motivates me to continue to improve my dancing. I currently have a partner for International Standard and we compete in USA Dance Senior division.

Rising Star American Rhythm

Originally, I learned single time swing in high school 25 years ago, salsa during College 20 years ago, and did some ballroom in the mid 2000s. Recently got back into it in 2023. In a typical week I'll have 2-3 hours of group lessons, with one or two social dances for about 1.5 hours each. Would love to practice once a week for a couple hours to go over all the dances and various moves, though I can be flexible on that. My goal is to have fun, make sure my follows have fun, and be competent on the dance floor.

While I am up for learning routines for performances, at the moment do not have the time or interest in competing.

I learn from a Fred Astaire Instructor in American Smooth & American Rhythm. I'm open to doing some international lessons, but primarily dance and practice American Smooth & Rhythm. Below is a quick description of my knowledge in each dance style:

Ballroom Swing / Single Time Swing / Single Time Jive: several steps

Bolero: most steps

Cha-Cha: all Bronze steps

Country Two Step: the first few steps

Disco Waltz: most bronze steps and a silver step

Foxtrot: Know the first 4-5 bronze steps

Latin Hustle: all bronze steps and some silver steps

Night Club Two step: Basic step, maybe a couple more

Rumba: all bronze steps

Samba: first few bronze steps

Tango: all bronze steps, some knowledge of silver steps

Viennese waltz: reverse turns, natural turns, and change/bridge steps.

Waltz: all bronze steps, beginning to learn silver

West Coast Swing: Knowledge of a few basic steps.

I danced hip hop and did cheer growing up, but didn’t start formal partner dancing until 2020. From 2020 to 2024, I trained and competed in ballroom, mainly international Latin, and had a lot of success, winning most of the events I entered. That said, my coaching followed the syllabus pretty strictly, and while it gave me a strong technical base, I’m now looking for more freedom, creativity, and fun in dance.

My goal is to continue improving with an intermediate partner who’s open to growth and variety. I’m interested in international cha-cha and rumba, Western dancing, and bachata/salsa—open to focusing on one or blending styles depending on what feels right.

I learn fast, I love musicality, and I value a good vibe and mutual respect in any partnership. I bring intensity when needed, but I also don’t take myself too seriously: I just love dancing and want to get better while enjoying the process... I laugh.. a lot lol.

I've been doing pro/am competitions and showcases most recently at the Open Silver level in international Latin and Standard. I'd like to find an amateur partner to practice with and eventually do amateur competitions together. Socially I also dance American style in addition to International style, and enjoy west coast swing, salsa, bachata, Argentine tango and other partner dances. I'm a quick learner and would dance at my level or higher.

I am totally new and am enthusiastic to learn, I have wanted to learn swing dancing since high school but never had the motivation, im a larger woman and am hoping to lose weight and have a good time while dancing!
