I have been dancing on and off for many years, but not actively. I took plenty of classes but only danced socially infreqquently and mostly with my ex. I want to get back to social dancing and to recover my skills to at least an intermediate level. I'm planning to resume taking dancing lessons too.

I truly have fallen in love with ballroom dancing! I grew up dancing and lived vicariously through my girls as a "Dance Mom" when my daughters both took and excelled in dancing. Currently, I take private and group lessons as a single gal here in Columbus and perform at events in which the dance center facilitates. I enjoy performing and would like to improve my dancing, learning more routines and eventually be good enough to compete. For now, I enjoy the socialization and exercise it provides, plus the ability to meet new people.

I own a dance studio in the suburbs of Columbus, Ohio. We are currently looking for gentlemen who would like a career as a dance instructor for our studio. I am looking for an instructor for the studio, as well as a Standard Ballroom Dance Partner. In the midwest we mostly teach American Style, but I love Standard. We would like to find someone who is interested in teaching DVIDA Syllabus, and is a part of the team, including social dances, formal events, private lessons, group classes, competitions, and travel.

I began dancing socially in 2001, competed with the Purdue Ballroom Dance Team under the instruction of Nicole Carroll and Dan Rutherford from 2004-2006, and began a career as a ballroom instructor in 2012. I've competed American Smooth and International Standard since 2014. I am open to becoming an International 10-dance competitor, but feel Standard is my passion and forte. I am now a studio owner and looking for an employee as well as dance partner. I would like a partner to learn with, take coachings with, and compete with regularly. My goal is to reach my best dance potential with a partner while elevating both of our dancing to the next level and taking care of the studio's customers by providing great instruction and service!

My primary dance experience is in standard ten-dance ballroom, having danced on and off for the last 20 years. Most recently I've been dancing regularly (3 - 5 times per week) for four years. I also enjoy Argentine Tango (two years), and salsa and bachata (two years).

I dance mainly for enjoyment and for improvement, although have done a few shows/demos.

I'm former professor that is semi-retired but still very active pursuing a lot of interesting endeavors. Dancing is one of these. I also work some as a fitness trainer. I would like to brush up on a lot of my dances and take a few lessons. I'm in excellent physical, emotional and mental shape and use dancing as a means to this end.

Started swing dancing in my teens in home town Yo.O. That started my love of dance.

Started in square and round dancing, and then added ballroom, polka, tap, and lindy hop. I love to dance, but am not competive. Not the average beer drinking, TV watching, middle of the road male! Tertiary educated, keen ballroom dancer, I value clear communication, respect for individuality, self-determination and the rights of all sentient beings. I seek health and constant learning over material possessions. My life style reflects my reasoning. My Chinese astrological sign is the fire boar! A healthy life style has become very important since I realized that without health money and possessions are useless. I try to live in harmony with existence and to me this means: - a 85% raw vegan diet which also excludes most animal products, avoiding as far as possible processed food, - a healthy life style which excludes all kind of drugs, prescribed or not; - exercise in the form of dancing: Ballroom (Latin, modern, and new vogue), and Taiichi and martial arts; - keeping my mind, body and spirit in balance by meditation, being aware of, and attempting to change the social and physical environment. I came to Australia in 1980, for many years I worked with computers but starting in 2000 I studied Mediation and Counselling. Currently retired and I spend a lot of time reading about alternative views of health, world politics, conspiracy theories; I practice Tai-Chi daily at Hazelwood Park and dancing in the evenings when I have a partner. I would like to live closer to nature but for the time being I live in Glenside.

Appearance:

I am 177 cm, medium built, reasonably fit, physically and intellectually active. I prefer to dress comfortable and casual. In my previous line of work I was required to wear formal business clothes. I am quite flexible about it.

I have serious ambitions and goals in dancing. I'm also teaching couples. I know few languages so it won't be problem for me to teach in different language. I'm not dancing in my country since i was 12 years old. I was dancing in England, Russia, Denmark, Germany, Italy so relocating is no problem for me. I am Irish, love to dance, sing, play the celtic drum, walk in nature, write poetry, travel and of course dance tango which is my favourite! I have most dance experience with Argentine Tango but open to learning other dances. I have some experience with Swing, Cuban Salsa and Rock 'n Roll.
