Hi, I'm Joel! Did the collegiate ballroom stuff on the NYU team, was placing in gold when I stopped dancing - life got in the way. Finished my MBA, working at a tech firm. Things have settled down for me and I'm finally able to spend time and energy on ballroom - more specifically Latin and ballroom. Looking for a partner in/near the South Bay. Goal is not so much for competition as to stay in shape and get better, although I'm not too opposed to it.

I've practiced Ballet for almost 15 years, then I discovered partner social dancing and I fell in love with it. I started with Salsa and Bachata, then Swing and finally ended up taking ballroom/dancesport training classes 4 years ago.

I have been competing in the US for 3 years now, and I have reached the gold level in collegiate.

I love to dance since I was very young but started professional Ballroom Lesson about 4 years ago. I am currently in the Silver level in Tango, Waltz, Foxtrot, Rumba, Swing, Cha Cha and know Salsa, Samba and other dances. I have done Showcases and many competitions. I am looking for a partner close to me so that I can improve and dance socially and in performances and compete. I am currently going 2 to 3 times a week but do take more lessons and have social events and parties.

Studied some salsa, danced in at century ball room, studied Belly dance a long time ago, was part of a troupe. I dance regularly for exercise, but nothing formal. I want to go back to more formal dancing.

I have danced ballroom for over 30 years. I became quite good, as I follow a good lead well. I like the Latin dances most, and Salsa is my favorite. I was never great with West Coast Swing, but really would like to learn it.

I really enjoy dancing and want to keep improving and growing my skills. A few years ago, I took a short dance course, and I’ve also learned a lot just from dancing with my family. I’m passionate and ambitious when it comes to learning new steps and techniques

I started dancing with Fred Astaire and worked with them about a year, but eventually switched over to Arthur Murray. There was a 2 year break as a professional, but continued my social dancing with salsa, bachata, kizomba, and Argentine tango. My goal is to practice and develop my skills as well as compete, but I need a dance partner.

I’ve wanted to learn swing since my early 20s, but could never find someone to learn with me. Now, older & wiser, I JDGAF.

Since I am not dancing regularly the speed is low but it will be up once I start doing it regularly.

I am absolute beginner in everything but I am confident that I will pick it up, now that I am wanting to do it.

The happiest years of my life were spent disco dancing in New York City at Studio 54, Xenon, and other fabulous venues in the 80s.

Currently taking Argentine Tango classes. Hoping to find someone with whom I can practice things I am learning.

Btw...I travel a lot. Jan to March in Buenos Aires, Argentina; March to May in Philadelphia, PA; May to August in NYC; Month of Sept in Athens, Greece; Month of Oct in Tirana, Albania. The month of Nov in Lisbon, Portugal. The month of December in Malaga, Spain. In January, I will be back in NYC for a short visit before heading off for more travel adventures (my Tango dancing classes are not as frequent when traveling, but I hope to change that in 2026).
