I love to dance and have danced for 23 years and studied dance theory and male lead since 2012.

I am experienced in all ballroom, country, latin, swing (East, West Coast, know a little Lindy Hop; would like to learn more.

I'm currently learning International Style Standard and Latin dances and been completing in both of those as a silver level pro/am couple. I have also completed in American Style Smooth and Rhythm dances at the Gold level as pro/am. In my spare time, I do a lot of social dancing in Country & Western, West Coast Swing, Hustle, Salsa, Lindy, Argentina Tango, Modern and a few others.

I am taking private and group lessons at difference place around the DC area. I have been told that I have an excellence lead and form, dance floor present and craft, and rapid learner. I'm constantly learning and trying new material in order to give my dancing more dazzle to include tinkling with lifts and drops.

Semi Retired more than a few years ago. Self-employed work out of my house. Started dancing almost by accident. Now I really enjoy it.

Began country western pattern partner dancing in 2005.

Then moved on to east coast swing & country two step , west coast swing. This past year moved on to ballroom: waltz, tango, quickstep, chacha, foxtrot, rumba, Hustle & nightclub2. Currently taking lessons four nights a week; west coast swing, two step, & Ballroom. I dance locally at many of the Ballroom & country dance venues.

Ballroom dancing started as a covid hobby and I would like to get better at it. I danced ballet and tap when I was younger and take dance seriously. My ballroom favorites are rumba and east coast swing but I am proficient in many others. I also recently re-started with ballet and tap dancing, mostly to help keep flexible and nimble but also because it is fun and keeps me moving when no partners are available. I compete at the bronze level in local competitions and am strongly motivated to keep getting better.

I've danced and competed in all 4 styles pro-am. I currently compete with my newest Russian pro teacher in American Smooth (gold/open) and will add International (gold/open) next year, and do at least 3 national competitions a year. Was the bronze national champion 15 years ago, and usually place in finals of Rising Star. Am working towards more national titles in gold/open pro-am. When I was young, I performed ballet and jazz, and toured Europe in college as a dancer in "A Midsummer Night's Dream".

I started dancing with Fred Astaire and worked with them about a year, but eventually switched over to Arthur Murray. There was a 2 year break as a professional, but continued my social dancing with salsa, bachata, kizomba, and Argentine tango.
