Been partnerless for a little bit now. First, due to life stuff, and now due to COVID stuff.

Been doing mostly Smooth for the past 5 years, with a few years experience in Standard, Latin, Rhythm and social dances.

With thirteen years of dance experience, I truly enjoy social dancing and I'm proficient in most ballroom dances.

I taught 250+ classes and courses. Organized more dances. Served on the staff of 4 American Lindy Hop Championships. Formerly the founder/director of the Swing Dance Community Chapter serving Fairfield, Westchester and later, Putnam.

I was introduced to dance when I was eight and danced ballet until I was 18. I did some social dancing over the years and recently fell in love with ballroom!

Currently I take lessons on Sunday at a NJ studio but occasionally practice in Manhattan.

I moved back to the UK at the end of 2024, from a long period overseas. I've been having lessons for about three years, but no longer have a partner. I would like to progress, maybe do competitions, but would love to find a partner to progress with and enjoy our dancing.

I dance Argentine Tango and always want to improve; I love that it is improvised and invites a response to the music and the occasion. I listen to the music rather frequently and occasionally play the music in small ensembles.

So how did I get here?

My interest in dance was re-kindled from the music and a desire to try something new and totally different. Whilst I enjoy a wide range of musical styles, my dance interest is focused on Argentine Tango. But I am enthusiastic and working to improve the quality of connection and communication through dance, allowing ample opportunity for a partner to express themselves and to practice on a shared agenda.

I have been working with several very supportive teachers, so opportunities for classes and milongas are always in the diary, if that is of interest. I'm also a musician and Tango DJ, so it goes without saying that interpretation of the music is a goal and the improvised nature of Argentine Tango is a perfect vehicle. I'm not interested in competition, medals or choreographed routines, but enjoy social dancing and continuously improving the dance experience. Maybe we'll meet at a milonga, somewhere.

Danced over 10 years, mostly latin, some standard and other ballroom dances, too. I really enjoyed it and want to get back into it at a high level.

I also enjoy most social dance styles and would enjoy working on those (Salsa, Bachata, Lindy, WCS, etc) as well.

Started Oct 24. Using my free time to dance (at least 3 times a week). Focus is on international Latin. Haven't competed yet, but don't mind keeping it on the horizon.

I dance for the love of it. I enjoy classes both group and private at a local studio. Attending social events at dance studios and at clubs is also of interest to me.

I have been dancing since 2010, starting with Pro-Am and have had a couple of Amateur partners. I went up to Silver standard/American/Rhythm, but left to study The Dance. I love International Latin as well. Now the time has come to find a partner, and if it works out, maybe even compete. See where it leads.

I've competed in American Smooth, danced a *lot* of salsa for a while (used to hold monthly dance parties), also studied WCS & AT, like to dance to live blues a lot. Also versed in the vintage dances of the Victorian & English Regency periods (I studied a bit with Richard Powers at Stanford a while back). I've also danced film/TV work that made me SAG/AFTRA eligible (I still get residuals) and I've taught in the past but just dance for fun nowadays. My lead has been described as very light, & I prefer to dance to live music where it's often a BYOP situation (not for ballroom). My partners (as well as musicians who watch me while they're playing) seem to appreciate my sense of lyricism. I've also DJ'd blues & ballroom in the past.

I grew up as an athlete and always had a love for dancing. I started teaching ballroom in 2010 and have been combining my sports background with ballroom ever since. I’m certified in Bronze but have the skill and drive to compete at a high professional level. I also have a bachelor’s degree in psychology, which helps me connect with people and bring a unique perspective to training and performing. I’m a happy, outgoing person who loves to smile and laugh. hi Guy's, I'm Nicky, I've been dancing for approx 10yrs give or take a yr and I have recently found myself without a dance partner. so here I am searching for that person. I love both Latin and Ballroom and have a natural ability in both. As a person I am easy going, like hearted and enjoys having a laugh and a joke..I have been fortunate in my time of dancing to have had a partner who used to compete and who has taught me an awful lot therefore a person with a few years of dancing would be good, I'm happy to do classes, practice just looking for someone to dance with....

Tango is not just a dance, it is an obsession. And as much as I love to salsa on 1, I am very excited by authentic Dominican bachata.
