l love to swing jive at our 1940's club. l went to ballroom dance as a young girl. I can find my way around the dance floor with any partner. The hardest dance for me is the fox trot. l like to take cunard cruises where i know there is a great dance floor . l do not like disco dancing. l occasionally travel to California so could dance there too!

My background was ballet but now I would like to learn more in salsa classes and try other types of dance like swing.

I've been socially East Coast swing dancing since the 1990s in college. Then at the Derby in Los Angeles, and various swing and hangar dances. My regular event nowadays is the 1940s Ball in Boulder, but I am hoping to get more into regular dancing, including Balboa, Shag, Charleston, and East Coast.

I am taking one on one lessons once a week in ballroom smooth, and doing once a week group classes in Salsa. I have taken lessons for 1 year now and am told my level is Bronze.

I am hoping to find someone with whom I can, or we can, refine and perfect those things we are learning .

I love any kind of music and dancing is my passion since childhood and teenage times.

Dancing is my happy place. I’ve been taking lessons for a little over a year before Covid. And I’m ready to get back in the “Swing”. So far I’ve only taken Swing Dance lessons. Iv been a dancer since I was a teenager. Now I like couple dancing: Argentine Tango, Waltz, Foxtrot, Two-step, One-step, Swing, Blues. My style is my own, as it should be, IMO. It's expressive and nuanced. It doesn't adhere to the standard. Some of my partners think it's pretty good.

Improve dance techniques

I dance to the beat (as contrasted to the "form"), 6- or 8 count, incorporating moves that bring pleasure in their execution. I have been told that I am a good dancer. I am a strong leader and seek a dance partner who understands what "frame" is about. I enjoy dancing to the big band music of the 40s and 50s and to the blues. I seek out dance venues that offer live bands.

I have been attending dance venues in Philadelphia, Lancaster and surrounding areas in Berks, Bucks, Leghigh and Montgomery counties outside of Philadelphia.

I am open to hosting you in my home if you live a distance for which it would be impractical for you to return home after an dance. In the Fall and Spring, I am open to attending a dance with you if you live a distance too far for me to return home afterwards. In my "younger" days, I hiked and backpacked. Today, roads are my trails and my mini-van is outfitted as my tent and backback.

I have always been musical and dance is an extension of that. If dances don't open up again soon, I'll have forgotten everything which is not that bad as I enjoy dance classes. Dancing is a great way to socialize and a terrific way to spend a night out but if I don't keep dancing I lose the steps- both ballroom and Latin. Ballroom tango was my favourite except I don't remember any of it!
