I dance 2 to 3 times a week, in private lessons, socials and helping to demonstrate ballroom for beginners. I did some dancing in earlier years (ballet, modern, ceroc, flamenco, salsa, ballroom), but since 2010 I have been learning ballroom seriously. I have gold medals in Latin and ballroom dancing (IDTA and SADTA). I also enjoy social dancing.

I have been dancing in ProAm competitions for the last 3 years in the UK and South Africa.

I've been dancing for about 5 years now but in the last year have gotten very serious about technique and proficiency. Competed the MSO (Michigan Senior Olympics) and did pretty well for a first timer. I've got lots of energy and time to practice, and would like to become a better social follower as well as to improve my competition skills. My goal is to do better than last time in competition and to continue to improve.

I have been dancing for about 8 years. I go to Bowie Md to dances I am retired and enjoy dancing, sewing and decorating. I love the beach. I live in a small town and it is difficult to meet people of my age who Ballroom Dance. I am told that I look younger than my age. I try to keep in shape and enjoy walking, bike and exercise.

I started taking private and group lessons at the Fred Astaire studio in Wellington January 2022. I primarily focus on Waltz, East Coast Swing, West Coast Swing, Rumba, and Salsa. I have also done the other normal ballroom dances.

I started going to Renegades (West Palm) and Round Up (Ft Lauderdale) (one or the other once a week usually) to take part in lessons they have a for line dancing along with couples dancing (not as much).

My current goal is to get better at leading and it's impossible to do that practicing alone. Right now my schedule is 1 private class a week along with at least 1 group class a week. I also try to go to Renegades once a week as well to do line dancing. I'm finding that the group classes are helping a lot so my hope is I can find someone that's interested in practicing together. I have a child, 8, that I have 50/50 so and I work a normal 9-5 M-F job so I don't have unlimited free time but I am making dance a priority.

I'm pretty flexible so I'm sure I can make something work with the right partner.

In February I started studying dance in the Bronze program at Arthur Murray. With my background in music and previous pilates training, I am making good progress. I am also studying Argentine Tango outside of my ballroom program.

I have the most experience in swing, two step, contra, some ChaCha. I take a local class twice per month. I would like to dance a lot more often.

Learning to dance gives me a way to be more social and most people on some level equate being a good dancer with being more socially developed. I’m taking an online class, working fulltime and I am involved with the church. I don’t have the desire, time or money for romance or clubbing. I am gueiunely looking for a dance partner to train with. The gym I go to has a nice wood floor area that would be perfect for this. I know they allow it because I used the same gym to practice in, when I lived in Amarillo. There are camera’s everywhere, it’s in a nice area and a lot of cops work out there. I know how to do a “Two Step” and “ Waltz” I was working on learning Salsa and West Coast Swing when I moved to Albuquerque. I am also open to learning, “Bachata” I learned some steps over the weekend and enjoyed it. I want to have some moves by the summer, however I need a partner that wants to have some moves by the summer. If this interest you, get in touch with me. Basically I won't gross you out, I'm also funny and considerate when I get past the initial awkwardness. We can work out logistic that allow you to be safe.

I danced mostly in high school, so it’s been a minute since I’ve had any consistent practice. I’m looking to learn how to partner dance in really any style. I love learning and growing as a person and dancer.

I've been taking ballroom lessons and competing with a college ballroom team. I've been competing at the bronze level and plan to move to silver. I dance and compete in both American and International styles.

I danced all throughout my childhood and competed with my dance studio in jazz, ballet, lyrical and tap. I was a cheerleader in high school and on the dance team in college. I also cheered for the Georgia Force Arena Football team for 3 years. I started ballroom dance 2 years ago and have had a blast. I have spent the past few months preparing for my first ballroom competition, only for it to be cancelled.

I am not the best dancer. I don't know a lot of dances. I would love to learn. I just want to go dancing and have fun.
