I love dancing. I want a partner to practice lindy hop with. I am still a beginner.

I prefer Foxtrot and Waltz. I think I will like Quickstep and Tango (including Argentine style) and West Coast Swing. I enjoy teaching, and learning about different styles.

I have been looking for a competitive partner for a few years now. I train under Alex Ioukhnel and have started learning Latin and am willing to do Rhythm or Latin.

I've been dancing for 5 years and find that it makes me very happy.

Into college, I was a competitive gymnast, which helped me to develop body awareness and body confidence. After gymnastics, I danced with an contact improv/improvisational dance group and did authentic movement for 10-15 years.

I started ballroom dance lessons last fall (2022). Since I love to dance and am comfortable in my body, I am a quick study, picking up new movement languages fairly quickly. While my main focus is Argentine Tango, I am enjoying the Waltz, American Tango, Foxtrot, Rumba, Cha Cha, Salsa and East Coast Swing with a little Salsa thrown in for fun.

Recently, I learned and performed (bronze level with some silver patterns) Argentine tango within 6-7 weeks of starting lessons. I am looking forward to competiting in May.

Latin social dancing 2 to 3 days a week. Includes Salsa, Bachata, cha-cha, merengue, Cumbia.

I have been line dance last 7 years.

I'm serious about getting good at Argentine Tango, and I'm seeking a like minded practice partner. I take multiple private lessons weekly, plus classes and workshops. I'm very inventive with new steps, and I move well.

I'm good at helping partners become better dancers. Partners tell me they get more out of practicing with me than taking lots of classes. Practice, practice, practice - that's the way to get good!

I have many tango instructional DVDs to study from in order to get details that often get missed in classes, as well as much material from ongoing workshops with top tango dancers.

I have a great space to practice in Park Slope, with gorgeous oak floors and mirrors.

Other stuff: I am a financially stable entrepreneur, college educated, hyper-cultured, dyed in the wool New Yorker who has traveled to over a dozen countries. I sing and play musical instruments. I am high tech, but also high touch. I am not a kook, a flake, or a crazy person. I adore Bach and the B52s. I believe that boredom is mostly a function of lack of imagination. I don't understand how people have time for television. :)

My parents were great dancers, so my love of dancing began in childhood. I've taken dance lessons off and on for the last 15 years. Have recently retired and am getting back into dancing again - working hard to 'get my groove back'.

I love things musical - Big Band era and Broadway music; Symphony Pops concerts; playing piano and singing in the choir. A new goal is to learn to play the harp and to travel more. I'm also a big fan of the Indy 500 and have been attending since I was 5 years old. That must be genetic too.

I danced in college, competed Silver in American Smooth and Rhythm. I unfortunately had to take an unexpected hiatus for a while, ending my time on the collegiate circuit :(. I also taught ballroom at a local NH studio from 2016-2019, but it was mostly beginners (wedding couples) and some basics of social styles (salsa, swing, etc). I'm hoping to get back to ballroom training regularly. I also want to learn and compete in Latin! I am technique focused and a quick learner!

I am extremely honest, down-to earth, but also very feminine and have no patience for game playing. I have a lot of energy and love life. There is almost always a smile on my face. I have always related to men younger than myself. I keep in shape with routine exercise and dance. My passion in life is dancing, and eventually would like to learn all the dances. I also like movies, theatre, dining, comedy clubs, tennis, bike riding, and get-togethers with friends. I don’t smoke, am anti-drugs and only drink socially. I am Jewish, but don’t practice at all. The religion of my mate is completely unimportant to me. More important than religious aspects, are good morals, values and trying to do the right thing. I am a college graduate, but more importantly, I have a very sharp mind, and want that in a mate. Turn-offs in men include: comb-overs, fat and /or flab, tattoos, body piercing of any kind, and those with two left feet.

I love all forms of dance and am happiest when expressing myself through dance. Performing is important to me, but dancing should be a fulfillment of self. It has been a few years since I danced seriously, but I have always focused heavily on proper technique, which never really goes away.

I signed up in two Studios on the Main Line for private and group lessons in October 2016. I am very excited.

Loves and enjoys dancing, swimming, splashing, laughing, living and kids....

And I've finally found where to enjoy it most.....

But I do miss ballroom dancing which I practiced with great pleasure in New York for a few years. Finding a partner might put me right back on tracks!
